I've uploaded all these 4 images in bulk as I got them all in one day, a busy one at that.
Next week I will be displaying some of my work for young kids as they wander around our sports hall with the interest of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. They will have to match up the photo to the insect infront of them, so it should be a lot of fun, and hence the many images I've uploaded all at once.
On a quick trip to some woodland by our university, I looked under some old rotten wood and stones finding Beetles, spiders, Larvae and some woodlice !
It gave for a great oppurtunity for some early Spring photographing and the quality with the £30 objective I have retained for all 4 specimens !
Got my Nikon M plan 5x ordered so should be here soon for even sharper images !

I had the oppurtunity to attend one of the pooja that was done for Chathan at my family temple. I had arrived little late hence missed the starting of the Kalamezhuthu (drawing). Other snaps as comments.
I haven't done a cutout in a while, but I was on the lookout for an oppurtunity like this whilst in Copenhagen. It's my usual treatment of these, HDR from 3 handheld exposures to give a textured monochrome layer and a vibrant colour.
I have to admit that the bike wasn't actually red, but a custard-type colour but I feel red works best.

Is it really 13 years ago? The Bolton TD made the long journey north for the event and a visit to Blackpool enabled this one-off photo oppurtunity. I know this will really please at least one enthusiast, on THREE counts.
Bhakti Summer Sangha 2016
The second year of the Bhakti Summer Sangha was a great success, as it gave an oppurtunity to the younger generations to explore spirituality and practice activities such as meditation, kirtan, satsang, seva, and much more among their own peers.
The Summer Sangha has a schedule built around the 9 forms of Bhakti, so that each day the kids and young adults a taste of each of the forms of devotion. The participants are getting a chance to participate in workshops on music, on meditation, and throughout everything, on building a deeper and sweeter relationship to God - in the Guru, in His many many avatars, in the people, and especially within themselves.

Day 316/365 - My friends little girls love to play together. So I thought that would be a good oppurtunity to take some photos of them while they played outside. The littlest one had her hand in her face almost the whole time because she loves to eat snow.

Shot with a Nikon D300, 17 - 200 MM VR lens and a SB800 flash. I used 2 Britek 1500 watt strobes (1 behind an umbrella diffuser and the other as a main with umbrella) to balance out some light in this dark warehouse basement.

Volleyball is one of those sports you don't really have to shoot the whole match to get highlights, so it gave me an oppurtunity to shoot some photos until i had to pick up the video camera

I didn't have the time or oppurtunity to cook a full meal, but I had to play TRP today... so here we have Nigella's awesome CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE SUNDAE!! I knew it would be good... but damn! This was something else...!

for TRP: The Domestic Goddess
INGREDIENTS
175ml double cream
100g milk chocolate, chopped
100g smooth peanut butter (Skippy for preference)
3 x 15ml tablespoons golden syrup
4 scoops toffee or caramel ice cream
4 scoops chocolate ice cream
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
4 x 15ml tablespoons salted peanuts, roughly chopped or left whole to taste
METHOD
1.Put all the cream, chopped chocolate, peanut butter and golden syrup into a saucepan and place on the heat to melt, stirring occasionally. In about 2 minutes you should have your sauce ready.
2.Get out four sundae glasses and put a scoop of toffee or caramel ice cream in each, followed by one of chocolate and then another of vanilla.
3.Pour some chocolate peanut butter fudge sauce over each sundae and sprinkle with the salted peanuts. Hand them round and wait for people to weep with gratitude.

Recently our campus had begun investing in recreational audiobooks. We know you may not always have the time to sit down and read a book, but maybe you have more oppurtunity to listen to a book during your morning commute!

This is the third and final set in the series. It's bittersweet I think because we captured so much awesomeness and I am pretty sure we got everything I wanted and envisioned. I accidently deleted the entire first set of photos and it's like losing a piece of your life. That might be hard for some to understand but our art is our life. The second set was shot at a location that wasn't planned but more of a plan B at the last minute. Still, we made it work. For the final set there was no compromise. What starts as just one vision quickly becomes the vision of all invovled and they become the embodiment of what you are after. Take those souls and the soul of a magical place and the soul of life on earth and you get gold! I truly believe that if you remain true to what you feel in your heart and you dont compromise for anything or anyone then your path will always be pure. I think people can always tell when something comes from deep within your soul, the deepest places of spiritual visions. Where ideas are not just ideas but you live these emotions and paths everyday. They are like second nature.
So many people connected with this idea. Being 100 feet above a forest and gathering to watch a sunrise. Few people ever do this or have the oppurtunity too in this way and I think the photos made some people think of what they might be missing so while this may be the last shoot in the series I have decided to do something every autumn around the solstice. People can come dance, sit quietly or just watch the sun rise up with those they know and love. Life is more beautiful when we are closer to nature. This is how it was all meant to be. These are gifts and should not be wasted.
Many thank you's to Diana Gabaldon's Outlander for giving breathe to this entire series, without her I dont think it would have been the same. Her fictional place not only inspired a beautiful series but made some of the best memories for us all. To the sisters that have been there through all 3 sets and 1 am wake up calls...., Holly, Deb, Mary, Angela, Renea, Ursula, Rhonda,Lindsay,Sue and Sandra. Without you all nothing connects and the magic is only half of what it should be. You guys are my heart and soul.

This armchair is an elaboration on the ‘Military’ theme. Its basic construction is similar to that of the Military Chair. Rietveld added armrests and, more importantly, took this oppurtunity to provide the design with a seat and back support of laminated wood. This gives the chair a resiliency and degree of comfort lacking in the previous models.

My father's Shashitabdhapoorthi was held near a temple, which afforded me a fairly rare oppurtunity to shoot details of a temple's vimanam from up close.
Since this was a fairly small temple, this was not an elaborate affair, unlike the more typical Vimanams that grace the pages of most coffee-table books on temples of India.
