This is the rather splendid Opera House, taken from the quay opposite ; stitched panorama of several images processed in Lightroom and Photomatix.
This is the only surviving shot from 22 July 2013, due to memory card "issues."
It is the parking entrance to the Estonian National Opera. What a hoot!

The building
The roof of the building angles to ground level creating a large plaza inviting pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo. The angles and paving materials are also skateboard-friendly allowing skateboarders to use some areas. Skateboarders are discouraged from areas closer to performance spaces by the use of steps and paving not conducive to skateboarding.[2] While much of the building is covered in white granite and La Facciata, a white Italian marble, the stage tower is clad in white aluminum in a design by Løvaas & Wagle evoking old weaving patterns.

Oslo, Norway. During the first year after the opening (April 2008), the Oslo Opera House has become a magnet both for local residents and for tourists. Taking a walk on the white building by the sea has been a must for people visting Oslo. Hundreds of thousands have walked on the white marble.
In this capture, opera tourists are seen on the opera's roof (I'm quite sure I read that the roof was closed for the winter in November, but...) on the second last day of 2008. They're being watched by a large flock of seagulls on the ice covered sea outside the opera. And the light - winter sunset.
