I know it has been done to death a million times but here is my take on our great House taken on Australia Day 2011.
The image was taken as a handheld HDR [High Dynamic Range image] (using three bracketed photographs at 0, -2 and +2EV) and then converted to monochrome in post processing.

Passing the Opera House.
I can honestly say that I've been here. I think I went in about 2000 and saw a play called Troillus & Cressida.
It was performed by Bell Shakespeare and according to other Stage play/Showbiz people, it was a confronting one to see for a "Stage virgin". It contained full frontal nudity.
The world's most famous opera house performs Verdi's Requiem as part of the Centennial Year Celebrations.
One hundred thousand people attended the performance of La Scala from Milan, in what is considered one of the Centennial Year's most festive and prestigious celebrations. 250 members of the La Scala company participated in the performance conducted by Daniel Barenboim, one of the world's leading conducters.
The performance, which was offered free of charge, attracted huge crowds from aroudn Israel in addition to a considerable number of tourists and many opera enthusiasts from Italy, who joined La Scala's historic visit to Tel Aviv.

Sydney Opera House is one of the most inspiring buildings I have seen. There are so many details that reveal themselves as you move around the building, with intersecting sharp and smooth shapes.
Moonlight Opera. Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert Visions of Vienna was projected live onto the sails of the Sydney Opera House for the first time.
The concert, is a collaboration between the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Vienna tourist board in a grand salute to Vienna, the world capital of classical music.
