The Copenhagen Opera House is the national opera house of Denmark and among the most modern opera houses in the world. It is also one of the most expensive opera houses ever built with constructions costs well over US $ 500 million
It is located on the Island of Holmen in central Copenhagen.
Thanks for your visit and comments I appreciate that very much.
The Oslo Opera House was completed in 2008.
The roof of the building angles to ground level, creating a large plaza that invites pedestrians to walk up and enjoy the panoramic views of Oslo. While much of the building is covered in white granite and La Facciata, a white Italian carrara marble, the stage tower is clad in white aluminium, in a design by Løvaas & Wagle that evokes old weaving patterns.

The Opera House in Sydney is definately one of those places where you see some very romantic moments mixed in with some superb architecture.
A horizontal composition of the Sydney Opera House. There are so many fab photos of this iconic building, so I was again trying to capture it in a different way, focusing on the roof structure.
"Built an opera house for you in the deepest jungle
And I walked across its stage, singing with my eyes closed
I've got a love for you I just can't escape
All of my love for you cuts me like barbed wire
Ooh, I was meant to love you
And always keep you in my life
Ooh, I was meant to love you
I knew I loved you at first sight"

"Dun Bheolain" on the Isle of Islay is a outcrop of rocks known localy as "The Opera House Rocks" as they resemble from a distance the Sydney Harbour Opera House. They are just to the north of the lovely Saligo Bay. Iron age forts were built on their headland as defences, the Rocks are around 750 million years old.

The community is keeping this slowly disappearing art alive, troupes play regularly throughout the year on small stages and temple events and every night on major events, as here during the Vegetarian Festival.
Here is also a different shot of the same actor shot a few years ago in the same temple.

About 10 minutes after the QM2 disappeared, the sun set the harbour on fire and I really can't decide which one I like the best, as a photographer it's a good problem to have.

A blue hour long exposure of Oslo's Opera House; few clouds and hardly any wind, so I used a 10 stopper to get at least some movement in the sky...
I actually intended to take this shot with the Barcode buildings and their reflections, but when scouting locations before the blue hour I saw they were doing construction in the water behind the Opera House, completely destroying my reflections with ropes, fences, pontoons, cranes and the like... So the Opera House substituted ;-)
