Sydney Opera House, New South Wales, Australia, August 2018

My last shot of Sydney - The Opera House is a stunning piece of architecture, it wasn't until I got close to it that I realised the roof structure was covered in glazed (ceramic I think) tiles. I hadn't given any thought before as to what the covering was but the finish gives great photo opportunities for the suns reflection from its surface.

'Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía' is an opera house, performing arts centre, and urban landmark designed by Santiago Calatrava to anchor the northwest end of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain.

One of the beautifully costumed actresses in a traditional Chinese Opera I attended in Beijing, China. The colours were dazzling.

An image shot in the Queen Sofia Palace of Arts, the Valencia Opera House. which opened in 2005, and is part of the City of Arts and Sciences.

Hotel Opera in Prague is a family-owned four-star hotel built in 1890 in the neo-Renaissance style. Originally acquired by Karel Češka in 1918, it was nationalized during the communist era and fell into disrepair. After the fall of communism, the hotel was returned to the Češka family, who fully restored it between 1994 and 1997. Today, it offers modern comforts in a historic setting and remains managed by the founding family.

It was in 1899 that the decision was first made to adopt a new class of boat for Hoylake sailing club. The gaff rigged, 16 foot clinker built boat that was chosen became known as the Opera class.

"Built an opera house for you in the deepest jungle

And I walked across its stage, singing with my eyes closed

I've got a love for you I just can't escape

All of my love for you cuts me like barbed wire

Ooh, I was meant to love you

And always keep you in my life

Ooh, I was meant to love you

I knew I loved you at first sight"

A horizontal composition of the Sydney Opera House. There are so many fab photos of this iconic building, so I was again trying to capture it in a different way, focusing on the roof structure.
