Sugar Sugar Rune was serialized for elementary school girl students between 2003 and 2007. The work was made into a television anime series in the same year. The story is about two best friend witches Chocolat and Vanilla who become rivals in becoming the next Queen of the Magical World. The work is essentially a fantasy with the classic witch motif in shojo manga, but in it is the underlying message from the author to young girls that she must make the effort to become a sophisticated lady and face her own weaknesses. Visually, Sugar Sugar Rune ambitiously attempts to revive the decorative nature of shojo manga by giving decorative functions to the actual frames and with the heavy usage of the heart motif.

Sing, dance, jump, smile, laugh, look, run, walk, stop, say it, shout it or shut up, do it, take action, perform... Messages, Ideas, Visions and Dreams. Fairy Tales, Myths, Philosophies and Beliefs, Declarations or Statements... a word, a sentence, a poem... a rainbow, a sunrise or a sunset, a street, a year, a day or an afternoon, a minute, a second, just one of those moments... rythm and unrhythm , synchronicity, waves, vibration, connexions and disconnections. Time, Change, doubts, desitions, plans, actions, destiny, revolutions and evolutions... Is everything connected to everything else? what is "the other" and what is "me"? Is it another language, culture or point of view? Is it something I am not interested on, or may I just not know about it? ... Is the everything else weird, mysterious, distant or ignored? Beautiful, curious or inspiring? Is is out there? or is it inside? What is it that, we call the "Everything Else"?
The second winner of 2015 KCCUK Open Call is Shinwook Kim. His first major solo show Sleepwalker will be held from 8 June to 27 June 2015. His series of photographic/video works deal with memory that comes into being between dis-location and de-location. From the series of photographic works of the abandoned land near airports to the videos that documents the artist's attempt to transfer sand from his garden to what he calls "non-places", for Kim, memory is the space whether the dualities between reality and the imaginary can be reconfigured.

NSPIRATION - elmur.net · 2011
Through the eyes of 10 authors from 7 countries and cultures elmur.net proposes an inner journey into the world of imagination.
Inspiration shows a collective movie build with textures and sensations, visual and auditory tones, which stimulate our senses and spirits until the door towards our own imaginary world opens up.
A collective visual collage which talks in diferent shapes and aesthetics about one single idea: Inspiration, refering to it as the action of stimulating an idea by means of the activation of our own imaginary machinery. A visual meditation about the relation between Man and the univers, spirit, body and shape. The inner and the outside worlds altered by means of perspectives, textures, velocity and motion.
INSPIRATION Collective movie presented at IMAGINARIUM II in Gallerie Wedding - Berlin

Elektrokunst video installation at Dreetz & Firchau Elektroladen
In our daily life we live surrounded by invisible walls. Walls made by ourselves with beliefs, prejudices, past experiences, public opinion, ... Walls that can be crossed only by imagination.
Through a daily electronic apparatus (TV) and a common mirror elmur.net has transformed the shop window of Dreetz Firchau & Appliances into a magical wall. A wall that suggests that we look at ourselves through the eyes of creative people from different cultures.
elmur.net "ElectroKunst" video installation is a wall that opens the door into the world of fantasy and creativity.
Who are you? Where are you? What are you doing here?
Singapore Night Festival 2018 - Bring On The Night
~The Search By The Search Party
The Search seeks to pay homage to the journey of navigating life in the city, and the whirlwind of emotions that come with it through the symbolism of a paper plane — a fond childhood plaything for many. The installation relays the message that there is something beautiful to celebrate in the people we meet, and experiences we gain in everyone’s unique journey of self-discovery.
The accompanying soundscape is a composition titled “The Autumn Journey”, written by Singapore-based multi-instrumental composer and pianist Eric Chiryoku, complementing the audio-visual experience of the installation.
This installation is also supported by Paper Carpenter - a design studio specialising in cardboard creations. Using the PaperConnectTM System, massive structures can be easily built with materials that are 100% recyclable from sustainable sources and FSC certified.
This installation is awarded under the Singapore Night Festival’s Open Call.
About the Artist
The artistic collective hails from architectural and engineering backgrounds from the Singapore University of Technology and Design. With the common passion of highlighting memorable moments in the journey of growth, the collective strives to create works that city dwellers can experience and resonate with.
