In 1894, after the accidental discovery of a salt seam nearby, this place was built. Cerebos owned it for half a century and it was later owned as part of Rank-Hovis McDougall. In later years curries and chutney's were manufactured here. The plant was shut down in 2002, and has been stripped of anything and everything.
Title: Open All Night - Bounce - Bon Jovi. This one's dedicated to all the insomniacs and nocturnals at Twitter, who've given me brilliant company through the nights, and are now good friends. :) To name a few, Arti, Markandey, Kirti, Binoy, Meeta, Aditi, Priyanka, Chethan and most importantly, our leader, Jaagte Raho - the owl! :) Thanq everyone!
What: Some flower. (Please do tell the name if you know :) )
Where: The garden at Ruchi's home.
How: Clicked with the Nikon D3000, ISO400, f/5.6, 1/30s. The low ambient light made the camera select the wrong White Balance, and the photo turned out to be a lot colder than I wanted it to be. Before fiddling with a filter for creating a warmer tone, I tried to make a Black and White, and was surprised by the results :). Used the Channel Mixer in Monochrome mode to grayscale the image.

P.S.: I absolutely forgot to mention Aman, Amey and Jayesh, who've been great friends and insomniacs on campus, at BITS Pilani.
Nothing fancy here, just going back to basics with a series of single exposure, uncalibrated tripod-monted shots of a beautiful sky, facing south over Lower Mazinaw Lake from Main Beach. The open star clusters Messier 7 (the Ptolemy Cluster, lower left) and Messier 6 (the Butterfly Cluster, upper right), located in the constellation Sagittarius, make a pretty pair. The "Cat's Eyes" at the lower right are the stinger in the tail of the nearby constellation Scorpius, the scorpion.
