I went to an open garden at a well-known gardener and medical doctor, Dr.Majima's office.He writes columns on a garden magazine and published a book on roses. About 100 kinds of roses, herbs and vegetables grow organically in the backyard of his clinic.
The flowers have just come out and will be in full bloom in 1~2 weeks.

園芸雑誌Bisesの記事や「Dr.真島康雄のバラの診察室」の著者として知られる真島康雄さんのオープンガーデンに行って来ました。医院の裏庭で約１００種類のバラとハーブ、野菜を無農薬、有機栽培で育てていらっしゃいました。
バラはあと１，２週間で満開になりそうでした。

I ride for open hearts. As the view opens around every corner my heart opens up the same. So many corners, but also so many straights and sweeping trails with unbelievable views. My heart was wide open in Morocco.

I'd never given much thought or many looks at Iris through the years. But I've really fallen in love with the 3 down by the pond in back of our place. I've learned that they were planted by the lady who used to live in our cottage a decade ago. She still lives here. I can't wait to show her the pictures of "our flowers". I have been watering them faithfully.
They are really beautiful flowers, aren't they!? This one went from a small tight bullet-shaped bud to full flower since this morning.

This photo was shot from a Mamiya C-330 TLR with a Mamiya-Sekor 1:3.5 f=65mm lens using Fuji Reala 100 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.

Today, 6 August 2015, saw the fifth Emergency Services Open Day at the intu Trafford Centre.
The event saw members of Greater Manchester Police, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service , North West Ambulance Service and a host of other agencies and groups meet the public.
Despite less than perfect weather, thousands of people turned out to see a host of equipment and displays as well as taking the opportunity to meet the people who help keep them safe and secure.
The Force’s Chief Constable Sir Peter Fahy was on hand to help open the event and meet the public.
