I'm taking an online class by Mary Ann Moss at Dispatch from LA. The class is entitled Pure Experimentation, perfect name, because this is all an experiment for me. We'll be learning the fine art of stencilry. These portfolio covers were done with stencils and spray paint, and I have a new addiction.

Tombow pens are hard to control for me. I write my affirmations on a piece of paper, one to four words a day. I used this as my background and the word in the pitcher is my one word for 2013- Fullfillment. This is my Mom's old creamer it's a Poppytrail Metlox Made in California pottery piece with a fall leaf painted on it loosely so I thought the Tombow would highlight that well.

I am taking online class"Re-purpose, Re-think, Re- invent" by Jenni Bowlin. This is Week 3 project.

My first book made from Roben Marie Smith's Mixed Media Mayhem class. Canvas Cover. Four signatures of two file folders each.

Wearing a pair of my favorite sandels, a favorite dress, carrying a reusable shopping sack and headed to the job.

At Bloombrain we help child do what is right, not what is easy. The earlier you start working on something, the earlier you will see results. Our resolution is to make students understand a concept through online classes that are interactive and provide values which will ultimately help them solve real life problems in their lives.

"We've got to get better.

I said, It's all in your head.

We could live through these letters

Or forget it all together.

See the months they don't matter.

It's the days I can't take

When the hours move to minutes and I'm seconds away.

Just ask the question.

Come untie the knot.

Say you won't care,

say you won't care.

Retrace the steps

As if we forgot.

Say you won't care,

Say you won't care.

We try to avoid it,

But there's not a doubt,

And there's one thing I can do nothing about."~Taking Back Sunday

4th Grade, Inez's Online Class

During the summer of my sophomore year in high school, I took Honors Physics online with FLVS. The course I took was very well organized but was my struggles with the subject of science that turned my experience into pure frustration. I felt as if I had been in a traditional classroom, I would not have run into as many problems.

Today is the beginning of February & my first assignment from my online class “For the Joy of Love”. Every day this month, there is a project photo and this is number one.

{Take a photo of a loved one, doing what they do best}

Today’s photo is of Ruben, doing his version of what he does best {Playing Video games} and my then version. Recently and ONLY recently, I felt it was time to put the boy to work. He now lives on a tight schedule and does chores around the house and facility, homework and reads every single day. For a minute it was just a punishment, until he brings up his grades but instead, I think I will keep him busy, like my mom did for us. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t know the first thing about keeping my house clean, cooking or anything else domestic for that matter. Now that I’m older, I thank my mom for showing me all that she did and I only hope that Ruben can thank me when he’s my age.

My first book made from Roben Marie Smith's Mixed Media Mayhem class. Canvas Cover. Four signatures of two file folders each.

I just finished my Winter Intersession online class on Wednesday. I usually handed my homework in just moments before midnight--when it was due. No homework for one week and then I start the spring semester with two more online classes and few regular classes equaling 18 credits. Plus, I have a full time job so expect to see more of this during the next couple of months. ;)

While having no actual person-to-person interaction can be a disadvantage, an advantage can be access to many different types of teachers. Students have the ability to contact many people about the issues they are having with their online class via email, instant message, skype and other modes.
