Celebrating the fact that I finished my online class for the speeding ticket I got the day before Halloween. Haven't had one since I was 16. Now I have to behave for 6 months to get it off my record. Thank you good old Rock Valley.
Sorry ... didn't mean to sound all bah humbug. I am over it now and can enjoy Christmas and my time off afterwards!!

Introduction to the course: Every day humanity is facing enormous challenges. From the most recent mass Afghan refugee exodus to Iran and other countries to Rohingya influx to Bangladesh, from the Ukrainian humanitarian crisis to the Syrian refugee movement and the Jordanian refugee camps; the entire humanity is experiencing not only fund crisis but also protection of children, women, girls, elderly persons, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups who are on the move. In refugee settings, humanitarian actors need experts in child protection and gender-based violence to protect those vulnerable groups from violence and abuse. To prepare the present workforce and freshers for this sector, the IIPM is offering Professional Certificate in Child Protection & Gender-Based Violence (PCCPGBV) to enhance and better prepare the personnel for their job to protect the most vulnerable groups from violence, abuse, harassment, exploitation, bullying, and mental trauma.
Course objective:
1. To give a clear introduction to CHILD PROTECTION fundamentals;
2. To give a clear introduction to GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE fundamentals;
3. To provide a necessary fresh knowledge base on humanitarian practices;
4. To enhance project management capacities to handle protection and gender-based violence;
5. To prepare the participants for the current job market;
6. To broaden understanding of the technical issues of child protection and gender-based violence;
7. To allow to participate in a micro-thesis research on child protection and gender-based violence;
8. To enhance presentation skills;
9. To build self-reading, searching, idea-generating, and compiling skills.
The Theory of Change (ToC) of the course:
> Participants shall participate in interactive Q/A sessions in each class.
> Terminal exams will help them recapping the course curriculum.
> Micro-thesis will strengthen participants' critical and analytical thinking skills.
> Presentations will fortify confidence and will remove personality inertia.

Certificate Requirements
To earn the Professional Certificate in Child Protection & Gender-Based Violence (PCCPGBV), you must successfully complete eight (8) core sessions + take part and pass in two (2) exams + complete, submit, present, and publish one (1) micro-thesis + complete and submit the assignment of one (1) elective session. All requirements must be completed within four (4) months.

I really wanted the rustic texture of the door to be the focal point of this image so I created a third painted layer set to soft light and painted on just the door. That brought out all kinds of interesting colors. I also really like what the texture set to hard light did to the image. I love those little rusty bits and the rough texture. I am sure having fun with this Marie!

Today I had so much work to finish for school. I am working on a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership. I am currently in my last two classes and I will be done on March 3. I can't wait.
I was so busy writing papers, I thought I would do an HDR of my computer. I wanted to try and get the screen and the computer exposed right. I really should have set up the tripod, but I didn't have time. I had about 2 more hours of work after this.
