Berlin (Germany) - The Holocaust-Mahnmal (overshadowing monument built to commemorate the extermination of 6 MILLION of Jewish during the second world war. The monument has been constructed very close to the bunker of Adolf Hitler) by Peter Eisenman.

Exactly one year ago today, we arrived at Broadbeach. It was a little breezy, but warm. Beautiful beach - people enjoing swimming, surfing, walking.
What a contrast to how it is now after Cyclone Alfred! Beach gone, trees down.
However, the resilience of the Ozzies is an example to everyone- "No worries, she'll be alright"
Poi, ho iniziato a comprendere.
Mi sono fermata.
...it was a rainy day in Thailand. We sat in the cafe and ate two lunches and played cards till the whiskey came out.
It has been quite a long time ago since I uploaded a shot from my best friend. He is getting old nowadays and there's not much activity in his life anymore.
Although I like the wisdom of this old man, I'm having troubles of capturing it on a single frame. So here's one from the archives.
Have a Happy Furry Friday!
We just returned from a trip to the midwest, only to discover our dear friend has been journaling about "his" east coast visit to our home exactly a year ago. I've been saving this favorite shot in my archives, never sure when it might appear. Although I was going to HOP back onto flickr with captures of our recent trip, this begged to be posted today! For a truly FUN experience, click on Larry's site!
note: I've been having such a blast interacting with Larry's posts that I haven't even downloaded our pics!

“That's all it is: Information. Even a simulated experience or a dream is simultaneous reality and fantasy. Any way you look at it, all the information that a person accumulates in a lifetime is just a drop in the bucket.” - Batou, Ghost in the Shell (1995)

“A child reminds us that playtime is an essential part of our daily routine.”
One year ago - April 2007, Kachina and Cosmon (our kids) playing in the yard.
Always perpetual motion when they play...
No, that is not snow on the ground, it is the undercoat of Cosmon, big old fluffs of cotton'y wolf wool. The birds gather the wolf wool for their nests.
Kachina has more girth since her 4th birthday last December.
Oh hoo...hoo...quên đi....oh oh....quên đi...oh my love

Where is the division between heaven and earth?
Is there one?
Where do we go when we die?
This image, the top to the bottle below, has been sitting on my desktop for weeks. Something kept me from posting it . . . probably the words "fatal poison" around the ground plate upon which this photo was taken.
It took me a year to post the decanter shot, the other "half."
Maybe I read too much into things?
Maybe it's God's way of talking to me, when I remain still, prayerful and aware of nature and intuition.
Sometimes the questions are the answers.
In any case, through my photography, awareness and sensitivity I am able to process LIFE
with all its ups and downs, ins and outs.
This glass stopper is an amazing metaphor for my friend's passing. His soul is in heaven, his ashes are ready for the sea and the fatal poison that took him from earth is now released forever. Glory be.
"The grand show is eternal.
It is always sunrise somewhere;
the dew is never dried all at once;
a shower is forever falling;
vapor is ever rising.
Eternal sunrise,
eternal dawn and gloaming,
on sea and continents and islands,
each in its turn, as the round earth rolls.”
~ John Muir ~
“We were born to die
and we die to live.
As seedlings of God,
we barely blossom on earth;
we fully flower in heaven.”
~ Russell M. Nelson ~
“There is only one path to Heaven.
On Earth, we call it Love.”

... ho raccolto questa foglia e
tra le pagine di un libro amato
l'ho nascosta.
Oggi ritrovo parole care
e scopro un ricordo già così lontano:
il tempo che avevo tra le mani
è già memoria
... I started the Flickr journey. Not knowing what to expect, I at least hoped to study work of some good photographers and make some friends along the way. Little did I know how much Flickr had to offer!!! Now, one year into this journey, I have studied a number of awesome images, have made contacts with some great photographers and made
quite a few friends along the way... friends who have always encouraged and inspired me to make better images.
To all who have viewed my images, to all who have commented and fave'd my images.. I thank you from the depth of my heart. Without your love, the journey would not have been as exciting. Your each visit/comment/fave has helped me grow this passion.
Though I haven't found my niche yet, I would like to think that thru your images and feedback, I have improved my photography and processing skills a bit. But, I'll let you be the judge of that.
My first post a year ago was of this butterfly, and thought it would be appropriate to post an image of the same butterfly to mark this milestone. Hope you like it.
As always, I value and appreciate your constructive comments very much. Please keep 'em coming..
Thanks for your visit.
