Following the inauguration ceremony, a oneworld decorated aircraft was flanked by CEOs, Heads of Delegations and airline representatives of the oneworld alliance who celebrated the addition of Qatar Airways to the group.
First visit into Montreal-Trudeau of one of the newly repainted Oneworld birds today under rainy skies.

OneWorld members of Japan Airlines. I was catching the OneWorld livery on Japan Airlines 777 from HND in Tokyo flight to London Heathrow (LHR) on 27R runway. It from ex Boeing testbed before delivered for JAL in 2003. That only 19 years old.
Following a recent visit to London Heathrow, the task has been to find all of the British Airways Boeing 777-200ERs that have recently been repainted into Oneworld colours and thankfully that was easily achieved, thanks in no small part to just 3 examples being based at London Heathrow, however there is one more example left to find and that is based from London Gatwick...
The beginning of 2023 saw British Airways completing the refurbishment of their Boeing 777-200ERs fitted with Rolls-Royce engines, this particular fleet having featured rather antiquated interiors with the old Rockwell Collins in-flight entertainment systems still present going into the 2020s! These examples no longer feature 4-class interiors; those fitted with First Class interiors with the crew rest cubicle having since been removed, operating alongside 3-class configured examples which too have since been refurbished.
The youngest 4 Boeing 777-200ERs all reside at London Heathrow and have been configured in a 3-class layout since new back in 2009; these were amongst the last aircraft to have been refurbished which was completed by mid-2023. The refurbishment also saw 3 out of the 4 examples receiving fresh coats of paint, specifically carrying Oneworld colours which has not appeared on a British Airways aircraft since 2020 following the retirement of their Boeing 747-400 fleet.
With certain examples now approaching 30 years, British Airways is now looking into a replacement for the venerable wide-body jets as their parent company, IAG have opened a tender to both Airbus and Boeing to replace the oldest Boeing 777-200ERs with either the Airbus A350 or Boeing 787 being strong contenders to replace the type.
Whilst for now, the Boeing 777-200ERs are not going anywhere just yet, their retirement will be fast approaching...
Currently, British Airways operates 59 Boeing 777s, which includes 43 Boeing 777-200ERs and 16 Boeing 777-300ERs. British Airways have 18 Boeing 777-9s on-order.
Yankee Mike Mike Tango is one of 43 Boeing 777-200ERs operated by British Airways, delivered new to the flag-carrier on 25th June 2009, later to be leased from Yamasa Aircraft Leasing since December 2009 and she is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Trent 895 engines. Between June 2010 to June 2011, she carried Keeping the Flag Flying decals, and has carried Oneworld colours since March 2023.
