...but don't cut down these trees

This started as a mediocre shot of a weeping willow. I was looking for a way to make it interesting, when I found the "color edge detection" filter in my Android photo editor, "Photo Editor by Dev MacGyver."
I don't know if it was Corrie, Eunice or Franklin, but one of the storms of the past days blew down two trees on the playground in our street.
Built in 1929, this was the first high rise apartment building of the Netherlands.
It was planned to be twice as tall, and other, similar buildings were to be built near it, with connecting passageways, but those plans never came to be.
There were many novelties though: a service elevator, a central vacuum unit with connections in every apartment, laundry chutes and a large service staff. Most of these things are gone now.
It has a position in the top 100 of national monuments.
My brother created a custom made escape room to play on our mother's 70th birthday.
It was the first escape room she ever played and to solve it, we had to use pieces of puzzles spread over multiple holiday cottages. A walkie talkie was used to communicate with the other cottages and piece everything together in a covid-safe manner.
The story involved a made up history of the wooded holiday park we were on. As my mother's birthday is on Halloween, it naturally contained a witch that was burnt on the spot in the Middle Ages and her ghost haunting the cottages ever since.
