Thought I'd give Palouse a try in monochromatic. You sometimes find some interesting surprises about your image when you look at them in a larger screen. With this, I noticed this weird highlight formation shaped like an Omega symbol in the clouds. I can't really tell how it did that, it almost seems unnatural but I did not mess with it at all. I am not sure how to feel about this since Omega essentially means the end of something. Maybe I'm just imagining this, but I do believe in Karma and I was raised in a superstitious household. Maybe I'll be enlightened in the days to come. Hope everyone had a great weekend and wish you all a great week ahead. Again, thanks for your views/comments/favs.

Bought this around 20 years ago at a spritely 35 years old, it was twice the price of other Cosmics at the time but was in superb condition.. She's now in her 50s (like me) and is due for a major service at Omega. Still my favourite out of my collection.
Rarely off the wrist, old Omegas are like tanks.
History:
Ivan Morozov was a soldier in the Russian Special Ops division. His history is classified information although there are indications that his powers are a result of unsanctioned experimentation involving cryogenetics. It appears most of his humanity was stripped away by whatever procedure was used. His mind has been programed to believe that the motherland is still under Soviet control and fighting the Cold War. He wears a network of cooling devices in a suit to keep him functional in non-freezing conditions. The suit also provides life support if he is kept in sub-zero temperatures. He is susceptible to heat and appears to be fatally vulnerable to the loss of his suit. The fate of the project and anyone else involved is also unknown. What is known about Omega Zero is that he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. All of his schemes and endeavors are thematic with cold, ice, or snow. What this frozen foreigner is up to is anyone’s guess.

I did not name this omega because it is my last glass experiment.....I like all the little O's!

Omega was the second warrior to be released into the Dreamscape, second only to Alpha, his creator. Unlike Alpha, he chose to fight rather than create. His protocols are such that the only being physically capable of defeating him is Alpha - as such, he travels the Dreamscape: an omen of death.

This is build went through a shit ton of custom torso designs before landing on this final build.
originally I wanted her to be trans orange and red but the trans blue look gives this character a greater pop.
my new star adventurer finally enables some serious deep sky astrophotography. unfortunately, my 75-300mm is less than up to the task! very bad CA, strange stars and slow optics. despite this i tried it out on the globular cluster omega centauri as i only get a limited window of time to image this part of space given its incredibly southernly declination.

Omega Centauri the great globular cluster in Centaurus was fairly low when I imaged it on this trip. It was skirting along the mountain range outside the Parador hotel. I think had it been higher I would have been able to get more colour in the stars. I was please I picked up the small galaxy to the bottom left which is PGC 47003. Given this is such a short exposure of only 15 ins in total I was really pleased with the result.
Omega Centauri (ω Cen, NGC 5139, or Caldwell 80) was first identified as a non-stellar object by Edmond Halley in 1677. Located at a distance of 17,090 light-years (5,240 parsecs), it is the largest-known globular cluster in the Milky Way at a diameter of roughly 150 light-years. It is estimated to contain approximately 10 million stars, and a total mass equivalent to 4 million solar masses, making it the most massive-known globular cluster in the Milky Way.
Omega Centauri is very different from most other galactic globular clusters to the extent that it is thought to have originated as the core remnant of a disrupted dwarf galaxy

A nice Omega Speedmaster First Omega In Space, always had my doubts in buying a Speedmaster. Even when this came out without a bracelet.
Really like it with this bracelet and fits pretty good.
Shot at sunrise, from Los Cancajos on La Palma. I used my Skywatcher 80ED and the Sigma 1.4 adapter borrowed from Christian Madrigal (thanks Chris), also thanks Fidel for the IR remote! Shot RAW, used Faithful color profile for JPG conversion, so the colors are real.
For simulations of this and other phenomena check my Realistic Solar Disc Rendering page. You can also find more pictures and scientific explanations of the phenomena.

After waiting in a windy field for a while, I got this shot of Pacific National's 3932 led by 8130, 8155 and 8154 as they pass through an opening between Omega No.3 and No.4 tunnels on their way to Manildra to unload.

Omegas were popular here, at one point there were three of them in the same car park. This one had done an impressive 277,000 miles at its last MoT.
