As California's drought worsens and fines increase, I see these easily-accessed water supplies open to water theft.

Another panoramic view of the Arctic Ocean from the location we were allowed to stop and take photos from.

Taken on Day 14, during the tour of Prudhoe Bay, before flying back to Anchorage.

As 'we' (including my guide :P) walked, it got darker and darker, and vegetation thicker and thicker. It was real off the beaten path experience... Add the chirping sounds of many species of birds, buzz of insects, whispers of leaves swinging in the sweet breeze of the morning, the 'ouch' sounds generated by me as I crawled under branches and was poked by the thorns...

"we-where barb-b- q/ing one night and we-where having ribs. one of the children asked what we where cooking, as the chef hoisted a large rack of ribs off the open flame. Slightly buzzed and straight off the cuff he said, "we cooking granny". so thats how the name "granny old bones came about...To me thats morbid but funny

Mt. Kunyit is an active volcano in the Kerinci Seblat National Park, Sumatra, Indonesia. The trek to the crater takes about six hours, and passes through beautiful cloud forests and beside fumrole volcanic vents. In the middle of the crater lies a bubbling hotspring, and what locals call "Taman Dewa" or "The Garden of the Gods." It has a spiritual, mythical place in local folklore, and is the site where local hero Depati Parbo meditated to supposedly gain invulnerability to Dutch bullets during the war for Kerinci.

Granny old bones house...My grandpa and grandma raised 6 kids in this house (its the size of my 2 car garage). Grandpa build it by hand, (the outside walls still smelled like pondesrosa and pitch) Everyone would get drunk and fight but we believed "if you can not forgive your brother then you will not be forgiven" so we made up the next day. No one judge us..because you will not be judge, thats what they said in Sunday school (?Right?)

My grandfather built my house, so why is the bank forclosing on it. If you build a house you own it?

Dalton Highway is also known as Haul Road. As we travel along this highway, we always see the trucks traveling along the same road, be it in direction of Fairbanks or Prudhoe Bay.

Taken on Day 13, during the journey from Coldfoot to Prudhoe Bay.

Sawyer Glacier is a tidewater glacier in Tracy Arm Fjord, a remote wilderness area in Southeastern Alaska. Glacial ice is blue because the red (long wavelengths) part of white light is absorbed by the ice and the blue (short wavelengths) light is transmitted and scattered.

The Pendung Semurup waterfalls, approximately 15-20 meters in height, can be found on the eastern hills near the town of Semurup, and are reached after an easy, roughly one hour hike through relatively flat farmland and agroforest. Be prepared to get your feet wet wading through a few mountain streams on your way there! See more detailed descriptions here: www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.599289883456558.1073741...

After visiting the residence of the Queen at Windsor Castle, we tumbled upon a small street with little boutiques selling tea sets, miniature furniture, and delicious bakeries. While my friends shopped, I explored the streets and buildings outside and found this looking glass. I thought the view looking through it was interesting so I decided to capture this memory.

... in Asolo, a picturesque, off the beaten path, hill town, that you did not want to leave. A traveler could sit back, enjoy the local culinary, and feel as he could blend. It was easy to see why famous poets made Asolo their home.
