Overnight camp out in Chiselbury Camp, an Iron Age hill fort on the top of Fovant Down, famous for it's Great War camp badges carved in the chalk of its slopes. A 40+ mile ride from home in Southampton, up to Salisbury via Romsey and the National Cycle Network Route 24, then to Salisbury Racecourse where I picked up the old cattle drove that goes all the way to Shaftesbury.
Dusk falling meant I overshot my destination in the poor light! I rode another mile or two to Ansty before realising my mistake, and had to backtrack, so by the time I reached the old fort I had missed the sunset there and it was properly dark.
The sunrise made up for that though. Up at 5.30 and a short walk to the chalk cap badges while I brewed up some tea.
Back on the road shortly after, keen to get back before the midday heat.

A little Caterpillar 10 farm tractor, in northern California. The private property owner graciously allowed me to roam freely, and out of respect the map location is only in the vicinity.
Not 100% sure on the ID, so if anyone out there can set me straight, I'd appreciate it!
After being disturbed, this agama's color changed into the dark brown seen above. The original coloration can be seen in this picture: www.flickr.com/photos/wildsumatra/8465569300/

Similar to the photo with the three boys and blue window in the background, this photo was taken during my experience in Vietnam and reflects the rediscovery of self identity. Without ever having exchanged words to one another, this little girl represents to me the innocence, beauty, and strength of the Vietnamese people… my people.

Looking southeast from Gates Valley Road, near Blue Ridge. This mountain ridge creates a 'rain shadow': More rain falls on this side than the east-facing slopes. Wine grapes are grown in the valley behind me, yet the east side is too dry. The flat farmland seen in the distance supports many other food crops.
Slight detour off the highway since driving past at 70 and trying to take a picture just does not work well! Other one taken Jan 23 so you have to go back to see it as the drive-by!
Thought I'd keep taking a scenic route till I ran into a bridge out from high water!
I love finding those hidden little places off the beaten path. I found a new park recently just filled with outrageously gorgeous trees and places, its a different world entirely.

The delicious Kerinci food of Dendeng Batokok, from the village of Siulak Deras, Kerinci, Sumatra, Indonesia.
The world's largest tomato doubles as a tourist information booth. Leamington, Ontario, is home to Heinz Ketchup and plenty of tomato plants that sustain its operations.
