Another Osprey ... it's been raining and miserable here all week so I was lucky to have a tiny bit of blue in the background here.

Rufous Hummingbird (Selasphorus rufus) I will shortly be going on vacation and won't be returning until the end of October, in the meantime happy snapping! I will try and comment on your lovely photos when I can but I won't be posting any new images until my return.
Roe Deer Fawn (Capreolus capreolus) This fawn suddenly appeared in front of me while I was walking along a shady path. I don't know who was more surprised and before I could even get the camera to my eye she was off like a speeding bullet! She looks like she's levitating in this one with all four hooves off the ground!
The guy isn't walking on water ..:)this was taken during that extremely high, hightide. I was going to use this for Slider Sunday but It's really pretty calm. So, I guess it'll just be a colorful pic

I was fortunate to be able to capture this beautiful Great Blue Heron taking-flight to move to it's next fishing spot. With the help of Photo Shop I added some posterization special effect to give the picture a pretty cool look. I hope you like it.

This wonderful little cottage was in the highest elevations of Wales. It was truly off the grid with a generator, water from a spring and an oil burning Aga stove. Every morning Mark would push the begrudging sheep out of that little front entrance so he could stumble over to the blue door you see and get the generator started to warm the freezing home and water. Our version of roughing it, but what spectacular views. Great memories shared with Andy.

Trapped pollution, caused by a temperature inversion, is plainly visible to the left, but obscured by the light of the sunset and the slope to the right.

On a trip to the Farne Islands, any birds that the boat came too close to took to the air. The Puffins looked typically comical as they ran across the water, getting up enough speed to take off.
Water levels on the waterways around Essex County are at record highs. Sturgeon Creek in Leamington, Ontario is no exception, where these docks were far to precarious to venture out on. Keep off signs posted definitely kept me off, as I explored on this early morning.

There were a few Osprey fishing, but this one just had to swoop down and catch two at one time showing off in front of the other Osprey's and photographers. Bear Swamp, Bombay Hook DEL.
