On Sunday night, nothing beats a home cooked family dinner.

After I ate the Odwalla bar, people at work brought in breakfast for our Tuesday Meataxo (yeah it's a stupid name) meeting. I collected nuts, strawberries, and cherries, but got sucked into the meeting before I could eat it. It may become lunch for me. Today is catered lunch (every Tues and Thursday--which is nice). Today we have California Pizza Kitchen, but it propably will be sandwiches and pasta rather than pizza, which is a good thing as Plaxo orders a LOT of pizza.

I'm considering photographing what I eat again. I did it a while ago and it helped me be more disaplined about what I eat.

Hope he got out of working brunch.

We love Costco!! All that stuff for less than $1,000!! =O

KGI celebrated Earth Day eve in the Alice Griffith Community Garden (AGCG) on Hunter's Point in San Francisco. AGCG is one of our 80 Sow It Forward garden grantees this year and we were happy to deliver the $600 grant of seeds and supplies in person with our friends and partners at Causes.com and Odwalla. We had a amazing group of volunteers on hand to help fill boxes with compost, build a brick walkway, install a drip irrigation system and plant everything from spinach to strawberries.Good food ahead!

Shortest hangover ever. Woke up at 8, gone by 10. Perhaps the morning hot tub session had something to do with it.

Here come the shots. I’m trying to keep them in some kind of reverse order, so you can watch them grow up. I’m posting one narrative for all, so here’s the story:

A few shots slogging behind mom and dad through the swampy pond, a few shots of sibling rivalry, a close up of a chick and mom where both have their nictitating membrane (inner eyelid) partially closed, ending back at the beginning with a couple shots of one of the chicks on Cherry’s back. I’m ending with my fave, the chick peeking out from the arching feathers.

I’m not sure when I will post again, and I apologize if I’m a sorry contact as far as viewing and commenting on the photos of my friends. I’m okay, my neck and back are out of whack, and oddly sitting at a computer probably aggravates it more than anything. I’m taking care and in good care, but during the work week as I’m pretty much sitting at the computer all day long, it’s been the last thing I want to do in the evening.

I finally got a smart phone (an iPhone) and tablet, so now I can view and share my photos and those of my Flickr Friends, everywhere I go without lugging my laptop, or a hard drive, or whatever. It should lighten my load, literally, and I really need it right now.

I hope you all like the photos, especially my fellow “Craniacs” and nature nuts! Even with all the weird stuff this year, I keep saying, “BUT, we’ve got Sandhill Crane Chicks!!”

Oh, and the names, the names, almost forgot the names of the chicks! Over 50% of the CCR Campus Craniacs suggested these names, so the 2012 CCR Sandhill Crane Chicks are…….drrrrrrrrrrrrrum rollllllllll, Free and Style. The overwhelming and I’m talking seriously overwhelming majority of submissions were some form of Freestyle for Coca-Cola’s innovative, high-tech, personalized beverage dispenser. Ergo, instead of having a vote, I’m making the call. ALL the names suggested were awesome. Barq’s (for our rootbeer) and Honesty (for our Honest Tea brand) were close runners up, other names, Mello and Yello, Illy, and Odwalla. We even had a few suggestions of naming them for people, living or dead who impacted the history of our firm.

I was going to put it to a vote, but the Freestyle suggestions were seriously out of control via e-mail and on the street as people viewed the chicks on their fitness walks around campus and sent me Craniac reports. Over 50% of the Craniacs polled, and many who were not (but are now in the network), suggested these names. Hopefully we will have many more generations to name in coming years and use up every name possibility around our brand and products. =o)

It was inspiring to me, how many people forwarded back the e-mail they were not initially included in or responded to the article in our newsletter to become part of the network and suggest names. It was like a mini-viral moment on campus, and people are sending ME photos of the chicks taken with the phones, etc. What a joy!!!

Love, hugs and thanks for viewing! =o)

I got this drink called Odwalla for my birthday present. The color of

drink is dark green. It looks disgusting. The color was bad and the

smell was OK. I drank it and I thought that water is the best to

drink.

swordball is played with a large Japanese sword and a bunch of odwalla juice bottles filled with water. the point, of course, is to cut them in mid-air.

My Drunken Jedi Pirate Circus set

Trying to drink something healthy, but this Odwalla Super Protien drink is terrible. I'll just stick to rocking out to the new Gnarls Barkley album.

I don't really know where these women were from, but if I had to guess,

I'd say they were Tibetan (or thereabouts). They were hanging out with

a young American woman and they spoke good but heavily accented

English. One was wearing a beautiful wool poncho with hand stitching.

They drove off in a dusty Toyota. I just wondered what brought them to

a Starbucks in a little Bay Area city (drinking Odwalla orange juice).

Formerly filled with Odwalla bars, now containing helium?

packed my lunch! i was kind of excited for this. there was supposed to be a mojo bar in here, but i ate it for dinner yesterday night instead, lol.

but yeah. i packed my lunch because my tuesdays (& thursdays) are long days and i realized i had no time to eat lunch, so yeah, i had no choice but to pack something. this is better and more filling than the odwalla juice[s] i used to bring, then when dinner came around, i'd eat a lot, but this time, when dinner came around, i was okay! yay.

small green monster naked juice (interesting taste, LOL, but i needed my ~veggie fix ... took me quite a while to finish it though) + bagel thin + GIANT strawberries (from costco! two pound box, so cheap!) + strawberry apple sauce + kirkland's freeze-dried apple cinnamon slices (too bad it softened by this time, after like two hours of being in the container]

Victor tries his hand at Odwalla's beanbag toss.

i took some blueberry pancake mix, and instead of adding water or milk added some blueberry c monster (from odwalla). the pancakes were really blue, and really delicious. also, i got both the mix and the juice at the grocery outlet, making this meal cost $1.50. whoo!

Combined this with a banana for breakfast, was awesome!

Today is Easter. I got some candy from my parents :) Then I went to work at 10. It was nice and slow for most of the day. I got off around 3:40 instead of 6 cus it was so slow :D

So then I went home and my mom and sisters and I went to blockbuster to rent Twilight. We bought Wii Music and Becky got a DS game. We got a much needed car wash and that was super fun! Then we went to Wal Mart and I found Polaroid film. I put it in my hoodie pocket when I had to reach up very high to reach the Odwalla drink that I wanted and I accidentally left without paying for it, so I had to drive all the way back and pay for it. But now I have Polaroid film ^.^ Yayyy!
