One I did yesterday evening for this week's Macro Monday group theme: The Odd One.

Interesting how Nature Works.

Here comes my contribution to fotosöndag's weekly challenge - odd.

Three odd things in my picture (though there's probably more!). Odd one out, odd number and finally (and most importantly) odd socks. Today, Sunday 21st March, is World Down Syndrome day. One way of showing support is to wear odd socks - rock your socks - for the day. Thanks to my family for modelling for me and for this wonderful cause!

The building is the world-unique water tower for the city of Varberg, inaugurated in 2025. It is 187 metres long and just 9 metres wide, situated on a hill outside the city. The name of the water tower is "Våga", a combination of the Swedish words for "waves" and "to dare".

The tower is designed by "White Arkitekter", the winner of an architectural competition.

Argiope aurantia, the Black & Yellow Garden Spider, sharing her web with a tiny companion—top center at the intersection of the grey & green stems. Hoping for guidance from the Arachnophiles on that one.

The web is a few feet above White Lake, in Cullinan Park, Sugar Land, TX. I took the shot with a Leica on a monopod extended well off the boardwalk, controlled by an iPhone. Got the monopod yesterday and the idea this morning. First shot I’ve posted with remote control. 132mm focal length is 360mm equivalent,

Candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. As a child during the 80s wearing odd neon socks was a 'thing' and I loved it, wearing odd shoes seems to be on a completely different level! Enjoy.

For a challenge of Rule of Odds - just something fun. Using odd number of dnd dice, all showing odds.

Crazy Tuesday - Odd One Out

Sometimes it's very difficult to set up the ideas I have in my head!! I knew the size of the empty red can was not consistent with the empty green ones but hadn't realised the 'stacking' problems I would encounter while setting the shot up !!! However, the wind dropped, the sun shone and I grabbed a couple of shots!!!

I created this for the Macro Monday challenge = The Odd One, meaning 3 or more objects with 1 that is different than the others. But I wound up submitting a different pic for it.

So today I'm uploading it anyways. I just couldn't come up with a good caption yesterday!! I wasn't into talking either yesterday. Go figure. So here's my try for a caption today:

Odd One?? Who are you calling an Odd One?!! Surely not me. ;-)

A seemingly rare sunny day in the Piedmont region of North Carolina finds NCTM's freshly repainted N&W GP9 teaming up with Norfolk Southern's First Responders GP38-2 to shuttle passengers around the historic Southern Railway property. Upon arrival at Spencer after retirement from NS, the 620 was repainted into to N&W's tuscan red passenger scheme in which it would stay until late 2018, when shop forces gave it a much needed dip into its original black freight livery.

".... This road was paved by the hopeless and the hungry

This road was paved by the winds of change

Walking beside the guilty and the innocent

How will you raise your hand when they call your name?

Yeah, yeah, yeah

We weren't born to follow

Come on and get up off your knees

When life is a bitter pill to swallow

You gotta hold on to what you believe ...."
