these all have been bought in the last 2 weeks...i have started some and plan to read "the floating book" and "the genius in the design" next. Most are collections of essays, so will read a couple in each book and come back to it later...
Because it was my sweet boy's birthday, I finally mustered up the nerve to ask a local Sbux if they would sell us the straws Leo craves (backstory: www.blogher.com/agents-l-u-s-t-1). And they did! Leo was far more thrilled than this blurry photo might lead you to believe.
2 minute exposure, no moonlight, completely dark interior, few seconds of crappy flashlight.
My wife's most recent quilting creation, a kids quilt using glow-in-the-dark thread. Photo was taken only to show the stitching pattern...gotta do something whilst waiting for the next full moon.

Jack Russell Terriers can be obsessive. Heidi is "stuck" at this corner of the yard because there is an animal or scent on the other side of the fence that has her attention. If I left her here, she would stay until she was exhausted.

Still trying to figure out the LX3. I should have used the manual exposure mode her, as the picture was overexposed by possibly as much as a stop. I was using the shutter priority mode, and I didn't get any warnings that my desired exposure time of 5 seconds would result in an overexposed image (due to min aperture of f/8...). Learning, learning...

I have an obsessive compulsive disorder slash hobby of collecting phonecards ! =D i just luved them ever since i was a child, this is a bit old, i think i have double the amount of phonecards in this picture now.. Any donations?
