No friend to trees Sophia will spend a whole afternoon just cutting paper. Usually in to strips for paper chains, but some squares here.
I love Thai curry. It doesn't matter what kind. As long as it's got coconut milk and is spicy enough to leave burns on your tongue, I will eat it in alarming quantities. As such, it's been getting pretty expensive to keep going out for Thai, so I'm trying to find a really really really good curry paste that I can use at home.
Does anyone have any suggestions? (this one was just OK)
My favourite kind of junk jewelery are mostly wooden. I have never understood the expression 'wooden' indicating coldness, dullness etc. For me wood makes things alive and more close to nature!

There are few joys I feel as genuine as going where streams cut low and cliffs climb high. Sharp ascent of bare rock, never to be buried by dirt again, growing ever more naked with time. Windswept and rain-worn, cracked by frost. I turn to these places because they bury me in quiet. Not that there's much of any noise out here anyway, past the power lines of Victoria Beach, into the upper reaches of Boudreau Brook. If a distant chainsaw filters through, it'll be the only human sound for miles. Where did my obsession with silence start? It was something about being nervous that set it off. Anxiety has trouble defining its own borders, so once I eliminate all outside stimuli, it serves as a sort of reset. A reminder that all my enduring emotional unease is internal. Can't run away, don't want to. But I can get just far enough to be sure of the way back home to me.

i had the prosciutto di parma, arugula and grana padano with 12 years old balsamic vinegar and 3 cheeses on the side. i'm unsure of the cheeses, but the dippings - yum! pumpkin ginger compote, date walnut cake, and acacia honey.
of course, i could just eat bread dipped in olive oil for the rest of my life.

yes it looks nice, yes it's perfect, yes it's crying to be admired and photographed.. I'm sure the owner is in therapy.
