I have wanted to get this doll for a very, very long time. She finally became available at a price I could pay! And she was NRFB! I rebodied her to a new Barbie Girls Music Activity Playset body and am pretty pleased with the skintone match!
This is a very rare form of latex wooper, but here in this muddy latex woodland is lots of them. I saw them and went into to see but got suck in the latex mud, and got my fave boots muddy :(

I visit this area several times a year and always try to get a nice photo of this tree. It is in a difficult position and surrounded by clutter, but I can't help myself. I think I get am improved shot each successive time...

I have a minor obsession with empty railroad tracks. Don't ask me why. But I'm thinking Freud might have had some not so pleasing things to say about it. I'm sure he would attribute it to feelings of abandonment, fear of the unknown, low self esteem or some other bit of neurosis. My theory is much simpler. I was obviously a rail riding hobo in my last life. Now that I think about it, if I had it to do all over again--I'd definitley be riding around in box cars.

I love Leylands. As a small child residing in Jamaica and developing an obsession with cars, buses, and trucks, Leylands were some of the very first vehicles I was ever able to identify by make and model. Leylands were more common back when I was living on the island, so I became quite attached to them as they were among the first trucks I ever saw and got to know in significant numbers. They emitted some of the most distinctive sounds I remember in my childhood: they didn’t sound quite like any of the other trucks on the road. You could hear the whine of their turbochargers from what seemed like a mile away. I remember standing on my grandfather’s veranda as a kid, looking out into the distance, and hearing them moving about. That sound always reminds me of those days.
It may sound odd to some (it’s just a truck, after all), but these machines are special to me. It is sad to know that they are slowly getting less and less of a common sight on the island and aren’t as numerically dominant as they used to be. The old 1960/1970’s era Leyland Comets I would occasionally spot as a child are almost all gone now. A decent number of Clydesdales are hanging on like this unit, but disappearing. Freighters seem to be around in some respectable numbers. The DAF successors (like the Leyland DAF 60 series) to the Freighter are occasionally around, but are vastly outnumbered by American International Newport Series cabovers (mostly 9600s) which seem to have been the preference of importers after the Freighter aged. The Internationals are the new dominant force in Jamaican trucking now, but a few Leylands are still going strong. It is going to be a very sad day when they’re gone.
Ok, I'll admit it. I can get a little obsessive about things, especially shoes and clothes. When I like something I tend to buy the same or similar in different colours and it's the same with certain brands. So here's a little taste of some of the things I can get obsessive about.
