This week's theme for The Teleidoscope is Obsession.
The line between passion and obsession is quite thin.
It occurred to me that passion is from the heart. But passion can grow into obsession when it overtakes the mind. I walk that line frequently. Photography is certainly my passion and at times is definitely my obsession.
And of course - Happy Cliche Saturday! words on skin - quite cliche!
I can't help taking photos of the moon I find it very addictive. Luckily on this night the sky was clear.
The We're Here group members are visiting the
Photo Obsession group today.
Buddy still loves his balls even at the age of 11. Focus point was the fur of the ball, f5.6 was used to ensure there was some background recognition, the light was low hence ISO 8000.

If you had not noticed, I have been fairly obsessed with owls lately. After a lifetime of little experience with them, the last few months have led to some very special encounters. These magnificent raptors, like the Great Horned Owl in this photo, have endowed humans with a particular fascination and eons of mysticism. Their ability to see in darkness, blend into their surroundings, and to fly almost silently through the night air has placed them on a pedestal above many other birds. I can only hope that recent encounters are the beginning of a long run that will continue to satiate my owl obsession. Have a happy Monday! #GreatHornedOwl

One of my favorite subjects to shoot in the Catskills…circa late 1800s…she goes by the name of Cold Spring House. What's depicted in my image is 1/5th of her enormous footprint.

Les Alsaciens exercent aussi leurs talents en offrant une version acoustique de leur hommage au groupe de David Gilmour, Roger Waters et consorts. Les géants du psychédélisme ont écrit quelques-unes des plus prestigieuses pages de la musique de leur époque, trois décennies durant.

I was sort of transfixed by the lights in the museum.
These were in the staircase leading to the exit. Since the side walls were painted black it made for an excellent contrast to the bare bulbs.
This looks really cool on black. just sayin'... :)
