I set of early to take some slow shutter as shots and found someone had the same idea but he had welly's on. :-(
At the New York Botanical Garden artist Yayoi Kusama's "Flower Obsession", when visitors enter the structure they are given a flower decal and an artificial flower which you can stick on any surface creating a constantly changing art installation.
As the first horizontal rays of sunlight penetrate the oaks this doe is pursued by a buck. She will likely produce two little spotted fawns next Spring. Our beautiful world, pass it on.

Hahah i just realized that everytime i went for a photowalk, half of my photos will be random street lights and posts. I guess I just have a thing for street lights XD
This was taken at downtown of Memphis, which recently started a lot of development projects. Memphis Downtown serious need some new development, cause its bee hitting hard with the recent downfall of the economy.

Well i have to say this is not my ideal choice for this week however it was quick and easy to do and i have so much to do in the next few days i thought it was best to at least upload something. I have a lot of ideas for this theme which i am desperate to do but it will take a lot of setting up so i will probably change this later once i have time.
Anyhoo, this idea is my representation that everyone is still obsessed by looks and the definition of what is supposed to be attractive these days. How many people still look at these heavily photoshopped images of models and wish they looked like that? It is a problem that really is affecting the health of children these days as they get obsessed with losing wait and achieving "the perfect body". I have to admit to it that i am trying to achieve a similar look myself but at a much easier level, i just want to put a little weight on and not spend every day of my life exercising in the gym to keep a body in extreme shape. I would much rather be socialising with friends and doing something new and interesting and just enjoying life!
Im ranting so ill leave you alone now, i must stress it agin this is not my body in this shot (although i wish it was!) and i do not own the rights to this image apart from my face! :P
I wanted to create some more magic of a different type in my Bluebell woods, the idea arrived yesterday evening, I knew if I didnt do it today, I probably never would. I hope you like it.. it took me a silly amount of time to make, but as ever, I learnt lots

Bonavista, Newfoundland.
Like any trip I take I usually do some internet searches of the area to see what others have seen. To potentially find something that interests me to photograph. Of course the Bonavista Lighthouse was a hot item but what caught my attention was what laid below the lighthouse. In only a few images I had seen of the area this little red shed stood out to me. I knew right away it was something I wanted to photograph. My plan was to photography it at a time other then sunrise or sunset. I didn't want any strong colors in my shot to take away from the sheds color. So pretty much every day I would pay close attention to the cloud formations in that area looking for just the right ones. Day after day past with no luck and it was looking like this red shed was going to be an image that would haunt me as things were not looking good. On our last full day it was calling for rain later in the evening so I knew my change had come. Usually prior to rain fall you will get some interesting transitional clouds..of course the best cloud formations were happening behind me in this image but I was happy with what laid in front of me. The wispy cloud formations helped tie into the painterly feel I wanted for the image. My obsession with capturing this shot as finally over and it turned out just as I had envisioned.
I also have a horizontal version of this image as well which has already been sent off to the printers for my mother to go over her red couch. I will post that version soon.

This is Buddy, on of my moms dogs. Chihuahua fox-terrier so they said. But nobody seems to believe it. He's a big pup, super athletic and muscular.
He also has this insane obsession with frisbees. He goes to great lengths to get it. Here is climbing out of the pool happily.. because he has his frisbee. :D
