These two characters were based on the wonderful work of Tyler Clites. Unfortunately, this awesome scale doesn’t have a name… so, if you have a good idea for a name… make sure to drop me a line.
Yes, these quarter dome pieces did it again!
Kept these two on display, figured it was about time I gave them an update. I've been meaning to change Obélix's hands since that fig was released, but I was too lazy until now. Made a few changes to the heads and replaced Astérix's abysmal arms.
Nothing beats revisiting a 2-3 year old build and seeing the shoddy techniques used. Proof of how much you've improved over time, if there was any doubt. :))

I really wish the vet didn't drop Totoro, I can be wrong but he could still be here if she didn't :( but I felt like I really want a silly grey little furball around so I checked Betty's (the breeder Totoro was from) web sites and she had three boys free for adoption, Obelix was a bit older than the other two so I booked him from her and on Friday I went to pick him up :) this is his winter coat, so he should be darker in summer, he's not scared of people and so I hope he will settle in well :)

One of the more remarkable things about Ballinasloe horse fair is the fact that it always attracts famous people. There are always lots of famous cowboys there, as you would expect: I ask you where else would they go for a horse? However, I have also seen Goldie Hawn and Clint Eastwood there (not together mind you). If you look at my Ballinasloe set you can see them for yourself. This year I spotted Asterix - or was it Obelix? - strolling along as if he just belonged in the place! Until then I had thought that he was simply a much loved cartoon character!

The fantastic Asterix and Obelix sets from Playtive (sold by LIDL France) here in combination. The fortress is a mod designed by me basing on three original sets. The village of the Gauls contains the Asterix', the Obelix' and the Troubadix' hut and additionally Miraculix creating the maging potion as well as the throne of Majestix.
