Went on my own to Eucher Trails, on my way back half of my water bottle was froozen. I had a taste of Glenlivet Scotch, I could feel the afterburn. I had to wait untill the night to have one.
Really getting frustrated with my aging camera, auto-focus do not work on the wide angle lens, there is ugly noise in the shadow.
The river is now cover by ice, there was lot of people going fishing, there is event a guy in front of you next to the crack with his little shack, hart to see on this shot...but his there, I could see him with my 200mm. The biggest challenge there is to show how much it falls just there, I think I need to work this out a bit.

Arena Birmingham (previously known as The Barclaycard Arena and the National Indoor Arena) is an indoor sporting and entertainment venue in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The Arena, owned by parent company, the NEC Group, is situated in central Birmingham. When it was opened in 1991, it was the largest indoor arena in the UK.
The arena hosts a variety of events including concerts, business conferences and exhibitions. It has a capacity of up to 15,800 using both permanent seating and temporary seating configurations.
The NIA was officially opened on 4 October 1991 by the athlete Linford Christie.

The watermill Lippholthausen (Schloßmühle Lippholthausen) in the Lippholthausen district of Lünen is a grain mill built in 1760 near the river Lippe. The watermill of the former Buddenburg noble house is a late Baroque half-timbered building, not far from the former Buddenburg Castle.
From the 14th century until 1902, the Buddenburg house was owned by the Frydag family of Buddenburg. The Frydags belong to the very old Westphalian nobles. The family is mentioned for the first time in 1198.
Around 1535, the noble family built a watermill south of Brunnenstraße and opposite Schlossallee. At the former river Henebecke a large millpond was excavated.
Afterwards, the runs of the creek Henebecke, Sadbecke, Wilbecke and Seltenbecke were diverted so that they flowed directly into the new millpond and fed it with water.
After the mill had been completed and put into operation, the farmers in the area of the thirlage "Buddenburg Mahlzwang" had to come to the castle mill to have their grain ground.
Nothing remains of the mill built at the beginning of the 16th century. However, the current mill building already has a considerable number of years on the hump: It was built in 1760 by Wessel Giesbert von Frydag.
In 1903, Haus Buddenburg and the mill were inherited by the Rüxleben family. The latter finally sold the property to the city of Lünen in 1913. Until 1930 grain was ground in the castle mill.
The old mill pond above the castle mill is no longer present, it was filled in 1938 during the construction of the Lippewerk. A loss for trippers, they could sail around on the pond with paddle boats.
Until the end of the 1970s, the House of Buddenburg, which also included the castle mill, stood in the district of Lippholthausen, now part of Lünen.
The Mühlenfreunde Lippholthausen e. V. restored and maintains the mill, which currently serves as an excursion restaurant and can also be used for weddings. It was placed under monument protection in 1985.

Oh, look, London again! I both like and dislike London. It's usually far too busy for me and it's a bit of a pain to get to (I don't manage well on public transport). At the same time, when I catch it during a quiet night, it's a beautiful, exciting place. This was one of those nights, a very calm and cool time with one the odd person passing by - bliss.
I didn't notice the lady standing alone on the little dock until I got home. I wonder if she took a photograph looking our way and was surprised to see us. Who knows!

Yesterday I had a very interesting conversation with my sister and we were discussing why we didn't go to our High School reunions and they were for the opposite reasons. I didn't want to go because I didn't like who I was in High School. It's funny how you can look at someone and see so many wonderful traits that they themselves may miss. Remember this when thinking of your shortcomings and flaws, most people won't see those, they will see the good. Be brave, own your truth and be a beacon for others.

When I saw this little lily pad flower bobbling on a large leaf in a remote Alaskan lake - it reminded me of the above quote, that happens to be one of my favorite's.

In the mid 1990s, Mexico's government owned rail network was crumbling. Ultimately, the country would privatize the rail network as it would be in better hands. This sparked the uprising of three major railroads, Ferrosur, Ferromex, and Transportación Ferroviaria Mexicana (TFM). While Grupo Mexico would gain control of both Ferromex and Ferrosur in the early 2000s, TFM would go down a separate path.
Kansas City Southern Industries and Transportación Maritima Mexicana formed TFM, using the TMM logo and KCS "Grey Ghost" paint scheme. At the time, KCS had some control or owned Kansas City Southern, Panama Canal Railway, Gateway Western, Texas Mexican Railway, and TFM. After KCS gained full ownership of TFM in the early 2000s it would be rebranded as Kansas City Southern de Mexico (KCSM). Despite this, for many years seeing TFM marked equipment would still be common, but eventually it would catch up.
Despite it being two decades since TFM was rebranded, it is still possible to find locomotives running around in the original Grey Ghost paint. The most notable of these are the AC44s, which can be easily identified by the very worn out and simple grey paint job these units wear, and as of today are the only GEs on KCS and KCSM to still wear it. However, the locomotives no longer wear the TFM logos, though it isn't hard to see where KCS repainted over several areas to patch out the old numbers and logos for current ones. In the photo, a Grey Ghost AC44 leads a northbound empty grain train out of Roseville, many miles from home. The stripes that were originally a vibrant yellow when it first came out of the paint shops has since faded to white. I guess you could say these are ghosts that still remind railfans of a time long gone.
