The Smile on Saturday theme of 'over processed'.

Maybe it will become 'The Shadow of Your Smile'. Well OK, just on Saturday 😊

The lightning here really lit up the clouds!! As always thanks for stopping by!! If you are looking for truth, look in the Bible, and see that Jesus is the way and the Truth. Have a blessed day!!

This was one of those incredible moments, the sun setting over a ice-blue glacier galoon, lighting up the clouds overhanging the glaciers in the distance.

For me, this shot is in amazing conditions, but lacks a little bit of balance and flow.

Over Windmill in Cambridgeshire. The building was derelict in 1950. It was purchased in 1960 for £100 by Graham Chris Wilson, who fitted a pair of patent sails and a pair of stones from the derelict mill at Upwell, enabling the mill to work again in October 1969. It has been restored since and is worked by its owner, who also rebuilt the cap, the brake-wheel and most of the internal timberwork. It is now operated with two double shuttered and two single shuttered patent clockwise sails with leading boards.

“To be grateful is to recognize the Love of God in everything He has given us - and He has given us everything. Every breath we draw is a gift of His love, every moment of existence is a grace, for it brings with it immense graces from Him.

Gratitude therefore takes nothing for granted, is never unresponsive, is constantly awakening to new wonder and to praise of the goodness of God. For the grateful person knows that God is good, not by hearsay but by experience. And that is what makes all the difference.”

In Furillen, you see all the SL photographers passing by.... I met Zigs Zags, and finally our long delayed decision to shoot a picture together came true.

I chose the place, Zigs made the poses , and there it is !

Under the magic tree, I seem to show him the place, way over yonder, where the dream of a better life seems possible...

The Clan McNabb Burial Place lies beside the Dochart River and Falls on the entrance to the village of Killin in Central Scotland. The falls were roaring on the day we arrived in 2013, it was cold and wet and we eventually settled for a meal and Irn Bru in the town pub beside a lovely fire! The weather was kinder in 2015, a day of no wind that provided beautiful reflections in local rivers and lochs!

Another former railway that fascinates me to this day ran here, the beauty of this village that sits under the mountain of Ben Lawers and not far from Loch Tay, both often featured in photographs of the the line. Opened in 1886, it closed in 1965.

On August 31, 2012 a long filament of solar material that had been hovering in the sun's atmosphere, the corona, erupted out into space at 4:36 p.m. EDT. The coronal mass ejection, or CME, traveled at over 900 miles per second. The CME did not travel directly toward Earth, but did connect with Earth's magnetic environment, or magnetosphere, causing aurora to appear on the night of Monday, September 3.

Milkyway over Ullswater. OK I'm on top of a lakeland fell in the middle of the night I might as well try some astrophotography. I usually keep away from this genre as I feel I don't do it any justification. Anyway I just had to wake up and stick my head out of the tent to see if I could see any stars, can't be hard. I picked out cassiopeia and it looked promising for the milkyway arching over Ullswater. There was a bit to much light pollution from Penrith and whispy clouds blocking a clear sky to make it out, but it should be there somewhere, but I'll give it a try. Here is an attempt at a 4 photo panorama stitched together. You can just make out the milkyway over Ullswater.

I was determined to have a beautiful wildflower meadow this year. I planted the seeds but when they tried to come up, they were completely smothered by love-in-a-mist, grown there last year, which took over the plot in an unrestrained fashion. Perhaps my wildflowers might still have a chance once delightful but dominating nigella has finished flowering.

Well it would appear that one person believes this arm wrestling contest was a foregone conclusion. What he didn't bank on was the stamp on the foot he was about to receive.

Got to love the Model Market in Lewisham. An abandoned Victorian Market which comes alive in the Spring and Summer with great music and street food. A brilliant hang out spot in London.

A peaceful start to the day: The sun rises over Suphanburi, Thailand. Birds fly through the calm morning air, silhouetted against the bright sky. In the foreground, delicate grasses catch the soft golden light—a picture of the quiet beauty of dawn.
