I'm taking a break. No worries-no sickness here. I just have some things to attend to here at home. Please, friends, stay well & stay happy. Keep taking those lovely photos & sharing them with each other. I'll still be photographing all I can while on my break.

👍😍🙋‍♀️🙏😎❤️😘

Some last rays of light hit the fields and the blooming apple tree. I tried to work out that beautiful contrast a bit more with the b/w mixer.

Erected in 1928-33, this outstanding Art Deco railroad terminal and bus station was designed by architects Alfred Fellheimer and Steward Wagner. It features mosaic murals by artist Winold Reiss. The structure stands at 1301 Western Avenue and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. In 1977 it was designated a National Historic Landmark.

Located at the confluence of the Licking and Ohio rivers in the southwest corner of Ohio, Cincinnati is an historically significant riverport and the anchor of one of the largest metropolitan areas in the Midwestern and Southern U.S. It serves as the seat of Hamilton County, and as of 2020, is the third largest municipality (designated as a city) in Ohio. The southern portion of the metro area extends into northern Kentucky, while the east extends into southeastern Indiana, making Cincinnati an economic hub for three states.

I really love how the car stands out. The car isn't that sharp but I like the atmosphere. It was quite hard to take some good shots because it was raining very much and I didn't want to destroy my camera. Hope you like it.

When all becomes clear

this autumntime

from earliest memories

to the present degrees

of freedom

a family of comfort

in the colorant of nature

beats the inner healer

shadows and lights

upon this land's dispostion

the declaration of all four seasons

plans for a year of twelve gardens

for borders of belief

beside the path of hope

to the glade of aesthetics

and thus, the teaching of ethics.

Happy new year from me, my brothers, Rizza & Nox. And good friends, Amber, Saige & Cassie.

Wishing everyone an outstanding 2025!

May your heart be light and your troubles few.

Seriously, how can you not be impressed and simply admire the ARCHITECTURE, the CRAFTMANSHIP, the PRESENCE and the DETAIL of York Minster?

SPM482G, a very nice recently restored Hales Containers Bedford KM with a skip loading body by VAPSCO which is short for the "Vehicle and Plant Services Company" of Horton Road, West Drayton, Middlesex.

The proper registration plates with correct style raised digits were lovely to see too.

This is the culmination of well over a year’s worth of work: I think I started this project a little after the UCS Republic Gunship was released. So it feels good to finally have this finished and show it off!

I strived to make an accurate, studless version of the ship which incorporated some of the discoloured panels like the UCS version. I used the reference material collected from Star Wars Episode 2, 3 and Battlefront II.

Over the course of this project, a few outstanding Gunships emerged in the LEGO Star Wars community, which was both inspiring and slightly disheartening as they set the bar for MOCs of this vehicle incredibly high! Bousker made an excellent Clone Wars version and you may see some similarities between mine and Jhae's. Though we came to the solution of using the grated cheese slopes independently, his design helped inform some of the internal structure and the bed of the troop compartment.

I also looked to atlasr's version for inspiration, which while digital and at a slightly larger scale than I was aiming for, is perhaps the most accurate LEGO version I’ve ever seen.

Massive thanks to all the dudes for their inspiration, encouragement, feedback, and numerous ideas which I stole, you know who you are!

The medieval church was rebuilt in the 1860's in an Anglo/Norman style by the Mitfords who owned the estate at the time. It is the third church on the site and dominates the tiny estate village and 'back' gate to the arboretum, the trees of which frame it from this angle.

Small cicada, Carineta formosa, Cicadidae (thank Gaiani March by ID), with about 5cm in length, color impressive. Never had seen no similar. The colors are sharp as in the photo. The Tijuca Forest.

From the series: «Flowers around the corner»

In 1895, Théophile Bader and his cousin Alphonse Kahn opened a fashion store in a small haberdasher's shop at the corner of rue La Fayette and the Chaussée d'Antin, in Paris. In 1896, their company purchased the entire building at n°1 rue La Fayette; in 1905 they acquired the buildings at n°38, 40 and 42, boulevard Haussmann and n°15 rue de la Chaussée d'Antin. Bader commissioned the architect Georges Chedanne and his pupil Ferdinand Chanut to design the store at the Haussmann location, where a glass and steel dome and Art Nouveau staircases were finished in 1912.
