Summer colours .. the sun: hot, strong, unforgiving, ruling the sky for months .. and still .. there are plants that will appreciate these harsh conditions :-)
i have to "confess" .. watching people´s photos, specially who "upgraded" from small-sensor P&S-digicams .. i have been critically thinking, that suddenly the play with bokeh seems to become the only content of the image ..
.. and now, after i got a more than 30 years old Minolta lens with 1.8 f-stop i enjoy "it" myself a lot .. even if the handling of MF only with the tiny Olympus-OVF is a bit tricky ..

Former OS2 David and Mrs. Nicky Allen. The Edsall-class destroyer escort USS Stewart (DE 238) was launched on 22 November 1942, but not commissioned until 31 May 1943. Prior to her formal commissioning, Stewart escorted President Franklin D. Roosevelt down the Potomac River on his way to embark battleship USS Iowa (BB 61) for the transatlantic voyage to the secret Allied conference in Casablanca in January 1943. Following her commissioning, Stewart herself made 30 transatlantic crossings escorting convoys before transferring to the Pacific in 1945. Decommissioned in 1947, Stewart remained on the Navy's inactive register until being stricken in 1972 and donated to Texas as a museum ship on 25 June 1974. Stewart is permanently land-locked on display with the submarine USS Cavalla (SS 244) at the Galveston Naval Museum. Galveston, Texas. (Nathanael Miller, 23 April 2023)
