Hot water pond filled with minerals, algae, bacteria and long chain organic molecules on the edge the Artist Paint Pots area of Yellowstone National Park.
No cows on this farm - these farmers grow organic vegetables in the rich, deep and fertile soils along the Delaware River in New York State. They do raise some goats and chickens, but the money comes from selling top-quality organic vegetables in local markets.
Yes, organic vegetables cost more. It's a ton of back-breaking work to grow them using organic methods. My grandson works on this farm, and we have toured it and seen the labor [and the expenses!] involved. No one here is getting rich - but they are all doing work they believe in.
We support this farm by buying a share of their early spring produce that we can't grow ourselves [because we have no greenhouse].
You can locate a farm like this in your area by looking under "CSA" - Communitiy-supported Agriculture. You pay a set sum at the start of the season, and they use that money to grow crops. Every week you get a big bag of whatever is ready to eat that week. Some farms allow you to 'pay' by coming in and working on the farm.

It is through love and within love that we must look for the deepening of our deepest self, in the life giving coming together of humankind. Love is the free and imaginative outpouring of the spirit over all unexplored paths. It links those who love in bonds that unite but do not confound, causing them to discover in their mutual contact an exaltation capable, incomparably more than any arrogance of solitude, of arousing in the heart of their being all that they possess of uniqueness and creative power.

Dug out my Bodum Tea Pot, it makes great tea using the French Press method. If you love Herbal Tea you'll love this. It tastes like regular tea, but very mild with a hint of Vanilla. It makes you sleepy because it has a calming affect on your system. I drink a little of it before bed. Rooibos Tea is also called Red Bush Tea and it comes from South Africa.

I was terribly sick all morning and early afternoon and then I decided that despite my condition, I was going to take some photographs! I had some organic asparagus in the refrigerator, seasoned it with organic dry basil and sautéed it all in organic olive oil. Yes, I try to buy organic everything, I'm kind of crazy about it. Have a great weekend everyone!

I don't think the people in Waterton AB need to worry about their lawns as these maintenance workers make sure that the grass is kept cropped close and is fertilized organically. I know, these Bighorn Sheep appear to be lying down on the job, but it is their morning siesta.
