Have seen many of these, never caught the orange crown. These little guys jump around like crazy.
A recent bunch of flowers featured a lovely bright orange Dahlia and a purple one. Here is a side on shot ( with the right number of cm's size) of the orange one.
It is interesting how colours are perceived differently by others. To me it is a great bright colour. My Northern Irish descendant sister-in-law has a different reaction! HMM :))
A back-lit orange butterfly nicely isolated on this orange flower. I haven't been able to identify the species so if you know please comment below. This shot was taken on Cayo Guillermo last week.
Thanks for viewing and have a great day!

Hello my amazing friends !
Today we celebrate an orange day at Color my world daily. Since we want to include everyone in this celebration: lets invite Mr. Lemon to celebrate with us. And if tightrope walking on an orange background doesn't scream "celebration" for you, I wonder what does ?
And now, I have the song "Celebration" from Cool and the Gang playing outlaid in my head (www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GwjfUFyY6M).
Mucho, mucho amor for you my friends !! Have a beautiful day !!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !
This male Orange Tip was busy flying around when he decided to settle, this was my chance to grab a few shots before he took to the wing again.

Orange-crowned Warbler ~ (Vermivora celata)
My first opportunity to get a decent shot of this species! Every now and again I bump into one of theses less common overwintering birds.
Thanks for visiting!
I don't often get the chance to photograph these butterflies. They are constantly on the move and hardly ever land.
I was very lucky with this one.....except I didn't have my macro lens with me !
Image taken at the Stonebow Washlands in Charnwood. Orange - tips in our area have been plentiful so far this year and it was a bonus to catch the Male and Female together.
…… Another garden shot today for my #158 photo on the day, a Rose gets to be my shot of the day. Taken on my Phone in Apple RAW & edited in Lightroom. I was rather pleased with the side/back sunlight here. Alan:-)
