Despite turning into a very hot day, it was cool and windy on the tops, and No.One son (on left) was keen to carry on to the summit of Crinkle Crags.

The Bad Step can be seen on the face of the main Crinkle (we followed the avoiding route to the right) and Scafell is now in view on the extreme left.

6 photo stitch; not quite sure about white balance but didn't really have time to play with settings at time as I was trying to keep up with son!!

The annual Liverpool Santa Dash event marked its 20th festive race in the city, with thousands of people donning their beards, hats and red (and blue) suits to race along the 5k route around the city centre in support of Claire House Children's Hospice. It is predicted that around 8,000 people took part in the charity event.

the course took runners through the Royal Albert Dock and onwards into the heart of the city and then on to the finish line outside Liverpool Town Hall.

After a rainy start to the day, the sun eventually came out for the runners, who made their way around the course dressed in a range of outfits. While most opted for the Santa outfit, others came as elves and there was even a grumpy Grinch in the mix.

The BTR Liverpool Santa Dash welcomes everyone—whether walking, jogging, or running. Wheelchair users and even tiny Santas in prams or pets are encouraged to join.

I simply adored the way the two central trees appeared to be moving across the scene, framed nicely by the two tree trunks in the foreground. A delicate touch of mist in the air softening the background. Everyday life at Little Wittenham Wood, South Oxfordshire

It is no easy feat that Singapore has been able to come this far since 59 years of independence back on 9 August 1965, after separation from Malaysia.

Despite our small size, few resources and many challenges, today's skyline at Marina Bay is the result of the hard work and perseverance of the generations before us.

Let us hope that we will be able to continue this prosperity and stability that we sometimes take for granted in the years ahead, despite ever new challenges arising.
