I think a 200 W110

This image of Old Harry Rocks was taken this morning just after sunrise.

The Lee Big Stopper was used to get an exposure of 1 minute just after the sun had disappeared behind the band of cloud.

H-NTWGFD works west of Verndale, MN with a trio of old BN green SDs (1458/1964/1940) on July 17, 2020. This Northtown to Grand Forks train had 156 cars and was 10,003 feet long. With the long train and older green power, they were only making about half of track speed here through the Verndale Sag.

Lots of BN Green power has been running on the mainline west and north of Northtown all Summer 2020 on the BNSF.

Was taking the long way home from the Twin Cities to Superior via St. Cloud to check out the NLR. When this westbound went through Cloud, I ended up taking even the longer way home via the Staples West.

Where old hobbies go to die...

Thanks to everyone for visiting , commenting , awards and invitations.

I took this shot of a ladies hat, that was probably fashionable in the early part of the last century, on a trestle table at the antiques market.

Who knows how many interesting stories happened in the midst of mysterious, old and deep tuff rock layers of Sorano… Prisoners, artists, warriors, lovers, dreamers, habitants, itinerants…All gave its soul to this amazing village… BeNowMeHere, Sorano, Tuscany, Italy, 2015 via 500px bit.ly/1SE9eyJ

Old Elbe Tunnel or St. Pauli Elbe Tunnel (German: Alter Elbtunnel colloquially or St. Pauli Elbtunnel officially), which opened in 1911, is a pedestrian and vehicle tunnel in Hamburg. The 426 m (1,398 ft) long tunnel was a technical sensation; 24 m (80 ft) beneath the surface, two 6 m (20 ft) diameter tubes connect central Hamburg with the docks and shipyards on the south side of the river Elbe. This was a big improvement for tens of thousands of workers in one of the busiest harbors in the world.

Six large lifts on either side of the tunnel carry pedestrians and vehicles to the bottom. The two tunnels are both still in operation, though due to their limited capacity by today's standards, other bridges and tunnels have been built and taken over most of the traffic.

In 2008 approximately 300,000 cars, 63,000 bicycles, and 700,000 pedestrians used the tunnel. The tunnel is opened 24 hours for pedestrians and bicycles; however, as of October 2023, the tunnel is closed to all motor vehicles

Old Harry Rocks are three chalk formations, including a stack and a stump, located at Handfast Point, on the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset, southern England. They mark the most easterly point of the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There are various stories about the naming of the rocks. One legend says that the Devil also known as "Old Harry" had a sleep on the rocks. Another local legend says that the rocks were named after Harry Paye, the infamous Poole pirate, whose ship hid behind the rocks awaiting passing merchantmen.Yet another tale has it that a ninth-century Viking raid was thwarted by a storm, and that one of the drowned, Earl Harold, was turned into a pillar of chalk

This shot was taken on my boat journey back from Swanage to Poole on Tuesday evening.

An old boat wreck at Charlestown, Cornwall, England.

The sun just breaking through the dark stormy sky to light up Old Harry Rocks near Studland Beach Nature Reserve. Just down the coast is the seaside town of Swanage. The coastal walk along the cliff tops is amazing with great views of the fantastic scenery.

We had no plans of where to go yesterday which usually results in some of our best traveling time. Almost immediately after leaving my driveway we turned down this small country road to this cornfield and grabbed a shot of Old Rag in the morning light. We actually didn't trespass up into the field, not because it would have been trespassing (we didn't see That sign until we were about ready to leave!) but because we thought we might run into too much mud from a resent rain! LOL

Old Havana, the historic center of the city. In 1978, Old Havana was declared a national monument, and in 1982 included in the world heritage list of UNESCO.
