Believed to have been built in 1401 the Old Smuggler’s Cafe, once known as ‘Old Ship Launch Inn’, lived up to it’s namesake.
In a time where smuggling was rife, due to heavy tax on goods and excise, smugglers would cross the quiet moors in the dead of night to haul their goods. They would pull a cart that was filled with kegs full of alcohol, at the end of the cart would be a lone keg with a quill in it. When the smugglers were unlucky enough to come across someone, to bribe their silence they would offer them a free sample, and then be on with their way. When the keg was at it’s destination the quill would be removed, and the keg sealed ready for use

B&W conversion, I really like how this came out and prefer it over the original color image.
The Townhall of Esslingen.
Mystery Objects in the picture:
A lighttrail of an airplane (right of the townhall building). Exposure time ended when the plane was behind the building.
That green thing in the sky slightly to the right of the townhall? I have no clue. Did I maybe catch a small meteor or a planet?
On a last sidenote: Sorry for cutting of the weather vane. It was so dark I didn't even see that thing!

A wonderful old clock in Rokoko style, an inheritance from my mother. Unfortunately it no longer works and I have no place to stand. Now the clock is waiting in the cellar....
