Ålesund Fire on 23 January 1904 night destroyed the entire town. Kaiser Wilhelm II. of Germany had regularly been on holidays to the region. He sent four warships with materials to build temporary shelters and barracks. The town was rebuilt in stone, brick, and mortar in Jugendstil i.e. Art Nouveau style. In his honour one of the most frequented streets of the town is named after him.

Hér var ég að prófa nýju Canon EOS 450D vélina. Stillti henni upp á borð og notaði hugbúnað sem fylgdi með til að taka myndaröð með reglulegu millibili. Síðan smá Photoshop föndur og útkoman var þessi. Bara gaman...
