In der linken Leiste versteckt sich bei Assistenten der Beschleunigungsmesser. In der freien Version kann nur die Beschleunigung von 0 auf 100 km/h gemessen werden.
Mein Matzker-getunter TDV6 mit 224 PS verfehlt die Werksangabe allerdings um 1,7 Sekunden! Gemessen mit MT-Reifen, 27°C Aussentemperatur und eine Menge Zusatzgewicht.

1996 saw minor mechanical revisions beyond the 1995 Camaro, as well as small power gains from the new OBD II-compliant engine controls. V8 models still came with the 5.7L LT1 engine. The dual catalytic converters required by OBD-II resulted in lower restriction and a mild power boost to 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb·ft (441 N·m) of torque.

On vehicle models from the E65 on, BMW is for the first time using fibre-optic cables as standard for
communication between control units.
The optical buses are notable for their high data transmission rate and they are not susceptible to
electromagnetic interference. The optical buses in question are the most bus, primarily used for in-car

OPS is intended for rapid programming of control units.
When operated at the SSS, no diagnostic or technical measuring pro-cedures are possible, as no measuring technology

Communication with the vehicle can be performed both via the MOST and via the OBD interface. The OBD interface
is required for the power supply to the OPPS / OPS and has communication properties via which the vehicle can be
identified and the data to be programmed can be determined. From CIP version 7.0, it is possible to delete fault
code memories via OPPS / OPS.
OPPS has been designed for encoding, individualising and programming (CIP) via the Software Service Station (SSS)
and envisaged for use as part of the BMW diagnostic system (DIS) from DISPlus and Group Tester One (GT1).

My car is a 2001 so this year it is due for its first smog check. My car is a LEV vehicle which means California labels it as a Low Emission Vehicle. (At the time it was made.) The regular Mazda Protege made in 2001 is a ULEV or Ultra Low Emission Vehicle. Madza did some tweaking to my car to bump up power a bit and that lowered the rating.
Now I wonder if a same year Mazda Protege as mine would actually test better? All cars from 2001 have to pass the smog test with the same results ... the rating is more for the consumer.
Anyway, here my car is put on the dyno for the test. The test computer is plugged into the OBD-II connector under the dash and things are about to happen.

Part of the test they put the probe into the tailpipe.
On cars made after 1996 they also plug the test computer into the OBD-II connector under dash do the rest of the test. Every car sold in the US since that time has this connector which is standard. I have software and a cable for my laptop where I can also plug into this connector and do all sorts of things.
I had an O2 sensor go bad on my car so I used my laptop to clear the code from the computer (turning off the check-engine light) and to also verify the net one was operating properly.

Sorry for the terrible glare here, but this shot shows a unique item you won't see on other McLaren F1s. In the center of the car near the chassis cross brace is an air pump for the catalysts on this car, which is a non-standard item.
This is a 1997 model F1, and therefore it must conform to the EPAs more stringent OBD-II standards to allow it to be imported to the USA. The air pump was just one of the changes required to receive the EPAs stamp of approval.
