I have observed the Australasian Darters for many years but only recently I've came to the conclusion that males feed the young birds much longer than the females.
Just to clarify - the father is on the lower branch...

Sorry to worry you.
My eye surgery is recovering smoothly. However though I thought that my husband 's nursing care is increasingly difficult,
I thought of quitting flickr everyday, but I am sorry to say goodbye to everyone, so I came back home.
I think that it will become UP from time to time but I am looking forward to your visit and comments.
I want to try hard as much as possible.
I would appreciate your favor in the future.
Have a wonderful day to my friends.
Best regards.
This sow is on her back in the sedges with two sizable cubs piled upon her nursing. And she is unconcerned about this photographer. What a blessing.
Document: Nursing recruitment poster from 1964-1973 (INF 13/238 (18))
Description:
This poster from 1964-1973 encourages viewers with the catchy tagline: 'People remember Nurses'. Since the 1930s, demand for nurses has grown steadily, especially after the creation of the NHS in 1948. What kind of recruitment tactics does this poster use?
Our newest online lesson explores the recruitment and role of African nurses in the British health services: www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/education/resources/african-n...
After the Second World War, African citizens from Nigeria and the Gold Coast (Ghana) and West Indian citizens as part of the Windrush Caribbean migration came to Britain to assist with the growing staffing crisis across the healthcare professions. This came a time when immigration laws were becoming increasing stricter in the 1960s and 1970s. What does this poster suggest about the recruitment of nurses?

There is something sacred about nursing.
As a doctor I can't say enough about the importance of nurses and the nursing profession. I remember little about them as a child except that they were the ones that gave the shots. By my teens I had been hospitalized several times so I had seen a lot of nurses and held them in high regard. It wasn't till medical school that I really learned about nursing.
Nurses are the front line of medical care. They triage patients in the battlefield. They institute emergency life saving measures. Their manner paints the first impression that the patient sees.
Nurses sift information for relevance. They clean wounds and stop bleeding. They assist the doctor in examination and treatment. They gather specimens and administer medication. They also screen and administer orders of the doctor. In this role they often help the physician by clarification and correction of these orders. I can't begin to count the number of times a nurse has gently asked me if I really meant to give a patient a medicine to which they were allergic. Nurses are often the first to evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Nurses have to walk a razor sharp line. They know when to reassure and when to call the doctor. When a nurse calls me to see a patient I come as quickly as possible. They know the value of time and rest and even making a dollar, so when they call I usually drop everything and am grateful they are watching the patients for me. They know when urgent intervention is called for.
Nurses give of themselves despite the hardships, adversity and danger of the profession. Nurses witness some of the most inappropriate human behavior, and it is not always from patients. Demands flow from patients, family, doctors and administrators. Then there are the insurance companies. And yet through it all, somehow, nurses maintain a degree of compassionate professionalism that is a constant source of amazement to me.
Medicine without nursing would be a violin without bow and rosin. They are the contact point of caring.
Medicine without nursing would be breath without air. They are the breath of medicine.
Medicine without nursing would be like trying to fly with one wing. Nurses provide balance to medical care.
Medicine without nursing would be body without soul. Nurses are the spirit of healing.
I take my stethoscope off to nurses.

This shot of a cow and calf moose was taken off the back deck of our cabin at Pines Ranch, UT.
On our fourth morning at the cabin, we woke up at sunrise to find a Mama Moose and this young calf in a clearing behind our cabin, a spot often visited by the animals that live on the mountain behind the cabin. Baby bedded down just off the path in some tall grass, and Mama laid down close by. After a short time, both got up, and we watched as the calf nursed before heading off into the aspens nearby. They returned later and stayed for quite awhile before disappearing into the trees.
From around 2 years of age, female moose mate between late September and early November. Gestation lasts for approximately eight months, with young born in May or June.
Cows commonly give birth to single calves or twins, and occasionally triplets. Moose weigh 25-35 pounds at birth. After the young are born, they drink the mother's milk, which is very high in fat and other nutrients. Because of the milk, the calf grows very fast, gaining about 2 pounds a day. Moose calves can browse and follow their mother at three weeks of age and are completely weaned at five months. They stay with their mother for at least a year after birth, until the next young are born.
For almost three hours, we watched the two of them interact. We were so thrilled to be able to witness this calf nursing. It was an unforgettable morning.
