Customers were making good use of the fancy new drive thru "complex" on reopening day at this Southaven Chick-fil-A. The parking lot looks like it may of been actually repaved, instead of spray painted. It didn't have that awful smell that comes with those spray paint jobs either. I don't know when they found time to do this! Maybe they have some sort of new fancy asphalt/spray paint compound!?

The Alox models, as well as being slightly longer, have thicker tools, and a stronger construction (wider rivets), than their 91mm cousins, additionally, the Alox handles are much tougher than Cellidor, so this family is designed for harder use than the Cellidor models. The celebrated Alox scales have reached a near cult status, thanks to their unique surface which is pleasing to both hand and eye. The appeal of Alox is in its merging of aesthetics with functionality – its attractive embossed surface make the knife both lightweight and easy to grip, and the hardened oxide layer helps to protect against damage and corrosion.
After being punched from aluminum and embossed, Alox scales go through a process called Eloxal which uses anodic oxidation to create a protective layer. It is this final layer which allows for the coloring of the scales.

A visit to Masson Mills Shopping Village and Sir Richard Arkwright's Masson Mills Working Textile Museum, near Matlock Bath in Derbyshire.
Masson Mills is part of the Derwent Valley World Heritage Site.
On a Sunday, they open at 10:30am, but you can't purchase items until 11am (Sunday trading laws).
This mill was built in 1783.
The shopping village was opened in 1999.

A bonus pic for this week: Instead of another Kroger pic, here's the remodeled Southaven Chick-fil-A. This was taken early morning several days prior to upload. I finally ventured inside this past Saturday for breakfast, and to check out the nearly all new interior. I can say that the understated look seen here on the exterior definitely continues on the inside, it's unlike any other Chick-fil-A I've ever seen. As always, pics to come!
