Historical Notes: This building was originally built in 1962 for the U.S. branch of Japanese department chain store, Seibu (pictured). From 1964-1986, it operated as Ohrbach's department store. Many years later, Robert E. Petersen, founder of Hot Rod and Motor Trend magazines purchased the building, and along with his wife, Margie, founded the $40 million dollar Petersen Automotive Museum on June 11, 1994. The historic building, designed by Welton Becket and Associates, is located at 6060 Wilshire Boulevard.
Summary: Photograph caption dated December 6, 1959 reads, "The aerial photo above shows the boundary streets of the site to be used in the development of a large Japanese department store by the Seibu Corporation of Japan. Negotiations for the million dollar property were handled by Coldwell, Banker and Company."

A little cover for a 3.5 by 5 inch notebook. The tooling design is based on a Scandinavian embroidery design.
I shot this accidently as one of the performers left the page hanging for few seconds. See it large.
Notes from pages 3-17, Year of Glad. For me, for whatever reason, a difficult section to really pin down. The remainder of what I've read hasn't appeared to be any less demanding.
reminds me of a building clad in a sticky film and someone tore up some coloured paper.
