I had some old cyanotype soln and decided to decorate my work notebook. I printed on Clearprint vellum and used drymount to put it on the notebook. The top was taken with a Clack and the bottom with a Hasselblad....for the full spectrum

Finding that inserts for the Midori Traveler's Notebook are very difficult to find in the US, and recognizing a slight amount of bleedthrough in the notebook (more on this later), I decided to create my own journal insert.
Measuring the original, when opened, the paper is approx. 8.25" square. So, I started by making larger than needed pieces of paper. 15 in all if I remember correctly. I used HP #32 laserjet paper.
Once together, I then folded them in the middle to make a "signature", and sewed them by hand (using a nice strong needle and button-thread). Once together, I took it to be professionally cut at the local office supply store. A nice cut, and I had my own journal with excellent FP taking paper. :) So, I can now slide this in beside the original journal if I wish, to create a thicker book, or I can leave it until I'm close to being done with the first.
Future plans include making a weekly schedule book based upon my NowHabits/Seven Habits mixed weekly printout. If done right, I should be able to bind it into a small calendar for at least a month or two of work. :)
I forgot how much I used the smaller Mead Five Star notebooks in my high school years until I went school suppily shopping for community college.
In high school I'd use these for rough drafts for crappy stories I wrote, and to keep quotes and notes from my acquaintances in (I think we'd pass around the notebook or something). I remember I always bought the purple cover one.
I bought the green one at Eckerd last week and this is a really, really old notebook--it had a get $5 off a CD coupon from a promo from 1999 oh, and the calendar on the first page only goes up to 2002. I also have a new army green one. They don't make the covers kinda sparkily anymore, and they don't put the calendar page in the noteboooks anymore. I should go back to Eckerd and get some of those old notebooks.

Repurposed medical chart dividers are used for the covers of these small notebooks. Great for your purse, as party favors, or to sell in your shop. They measure 5 inches high by 3 inches wide when closed. They contain 10 papers which create 20 pages. The papers vary in each book but all the books contain graph paper, construction paper, accounting paper, yellow and white notebook paper, and practice writing paper. Each notebook is machine stitched with white thread.

This icy white journal has some interesting stitching - I'd seen some "French" stitching for regular hardbound books and thought it would be really nice to have it visible on the outside of the spine. Attaching the covers was the trickiest part because I didn't want to disrupt the crossed stitch ladder effect on the spine.
