The notebooks inside were wedding favors. We printed out dust jackets for each one with the person's name on the spine and the symbol for their table on the front.

A sample of making lists in the Field Notes notebook. In this case, the dots become implied lines.

A selection of new block print journals I have been working on. They are not Moleskine, but are constructed much like them, with the elastic closure and the interior pocket. These were printed first with a layer of white ink, then a layer of silver on top.

Journal „Pegasus” from collection „Diary of Princess” - my interpretation on, how those diaries can look like these days.

This journal may serve as

- a diary

- a sketchbook

- a notebook

- a „good wishes” book (e.g. for newborn, on birthday party etc.)

- a guest book etc.

Measurements and materials:

Size A5 ( 21.5 x 15 cm), 2.2. cm thick, hardcover.

Includes 71 sheets of semi-dense white drawing paper. May be used as well for writing a as for drawing or sketching.

Wrapped with semi-linen fabric. Bound with silk cord, one end of which can be used also as a bookmark. It is a great pleasure to hold this book in hands and write in it.

Die Uhr zeigt 9.43 Uhr am Morgen, am Himmel ziehen dicke, graue Wolken entlang, es könnte vielleicht bald schneien, dazu zieht ein kalter Wind um die Häuserecken und es ist Zeit für ein Heißgetränk. Im gemütlichen Café an der Ecke bestellt er sich einen Kaffee, zieht seinen Füller und ein Notizbuch aus der Tasche, ihm schwirren diverse Gedanken durch den Kopf, die er schnell aufschreiben möchte.

Ein Notizbuch voll mit Gedanken, Skizzen, Listen oder ToDos ist einfach herrlich.

It made us look at litter differently, pick things up, touch and look. Think. Talk.

My mom and sister got me a Bind-it-All and the tool set to go with it for Christmas. It was hard not to open it immediately, but I had to get some more tools to use it first. I love the simplicity of this little machine and can't wait to make more journals and notebooks!

I like the effect of colour popping but without Photoshop it can be hard to do properly. A cheaper alternative is to set up a picture with a primary colour to keep and then desaturate all the others.
