I always have so many stories, potential articles and potential books floating around in my head. They need a place to go before they waste away and disappear.
After experimenting with almost every blogging platform out there from Wordpress.org and .com, Tumblr, Posterous, Blogger and more( even Flickr for a while ) I've come to conclusion that while the 'light data' can be taken care of by Twitter, most of the 'heavy' data( blog posts with formatted text, supplemented with rich graphics ) cannot be entrusted with third parties.
With this in mind, we are developing a new blogging engine for our own site called 'NotebooK'. NotebooK's goal is to be light, simple and secure( at least by obscurity ), and most importantly, give us total control over our own data.
Here's a preview of a blog post on NotebooK. There are some subtle UI innovations that I'll leave unexplained until a later date when they'll have matured a bit more.
