I recently gave away this notebook. It was called the Gertrude Notebook because the antique postcard (reproduced on the front) was written to Gertrude by one of her girlfriends.
Fieldnotes sized Traveler's notebook with 3 inserts, a WOTP diary, an address book and a lined insert
what i didn't anticipate - but should have - given his love of writing down his thoughts is that odin would be very keen on taking a few ( i.e. all ) of the notebooks for his own use.
odin: "hey, those look great. can i have them?"
me: "uuuuuhhhh. i was really planning on these using these around the house and at work."
odin: "oooooh, c'mon! i can have at least one, right?"
me: "o.k. one will be fine for now. we'll order more. pick one."
i secretly hope he doesn't pick the red "amber" notebook because i like the color as it slowly dawns on me that i'm giving him the option of choosing a notebook dedicated to a style of beer and wonder if he's going to take it to school.
gah. he chose amber. now i'm thinking i have to order some winter editions and swap them out on the chance he wants to use it for notes at school :-)

1. Renaissance Art Pocket Moleskine Cahier cover with a doane paper notebook inside.
2. Beastly Leather (Etsy) Moleskine Cahier Cover with a generic notebook inside. It only works with Cahier sized notebooks. Field Notes and doane paper will work. Rhodia small Webnotebook is too big as well as the Pocket Moleskine.
3. VadeMecum Leather Pocket Molekine Notebook Cover. Works with Pocket Moleskine, Rhodia Small Webnotetebooks and similar sized notebooks. Too bad the maker is no longer responding to emails.
4. Lands End Passport Wallet repurposed as Notebook Cover. Has a doane paper notebook inside.

Made new listings today and tried to get all colors framed and photographed...I'm afraid I didn't get all colors, but most of them are here =)
L, a dear, talented, inspiring and brave contact and friend from home, posted some pages of one of her art notebooks and invited me to do the same in Artist's Books, her new group. I have so very little - all my pages are filled with only writing. But, just to keep her going, I'll share some of what I have.

Just before the car alarms answered the firecrackers several men went out in the icy waters for not a dip but swimming! Each stayed alone. Soon the mist rose and sea, mainland, islands and the horizon all merged in rosy blue-gray.

made from granite cream paper, used ledger paper, cotton thread (with double coptic stitch binding) and elastic; cover is made from a recycled gift bag and binder board
the elastic used for this project was originally white, so i soaked it in 1 part true burgundy acrylic paint and 2 parts water for about 3-4 hours... when it was completely dry, i stretched the elastic to get rid of any stiffness; the white cotton thread used for the binding was soaked in 1 part true burgundy acrylic paint and 2 parts water for about 3-4 hours... when it was completely dry, i waxed the thread with beeswax; i did not dye the second piece of cotton thread, but i did wax it with beeswax
also, i printed lines on both sides of the granite cream paper inside the book, but left the ledger paper as is

Japanese stationery giant KOKUYO launched the Systemic series of notebook cover since Nov 2008. I totally missed this new product range but when I was in a trip to Shanghai meeting KOKUYO representatives there, I saw a nice leaflet for Systemic and enquired about it. A few days ago I received samples and found them very pleasant to use.
The Systemic series has 3 sizes (B5, A5 and A6) and two colors to choose from. Although the cover is specifically designed for Campus notebooks in the same sizes, I found that the A5 and A6 versions also work well with Moleskine's large and pocket size notebooks!!!
It is really a simple non-intrusive notebook cover. You can insert any two of the wide variety of Campus notebooks in it. The Campus notebook line also has free or dated diary versions so it can easily be used for business or personal. A nice looking ribbon tied to eyelets makes two bookmarks. An outer pocket on both the front and back cover provides temporary storage and act as a pen holder. A good quality elastic band provides enclosure function.
I think it is a great answer to many people who like to consistently use a refillable notebook but need an outer jacket/cover to hold more items or have a better presentation. To Moleskine fans who are yet to find a nice cover, this might be an answer too.

I found a craft where someone had made notebooks using candy boxes, cereal boxes and other types of boxes for the front and back covers. Mrs. Echo9er thought the idea was neat andhas now made about a dozen of them. Using the front and back of the boxes as coveres and scrap paper as the fill, she uses Mod Podge along one edge to hold it all together. This is part of the result.
My tiny-notebook addiction was causing me to spend a silly amount on trendy-but-not-particularly-remarkable notebooks. (ahem) So I made one!
I repurposed an old friend for the cover. I scored the spine with three cuts, to make it round around the contents.
Repurposed medical chart dividers are used for the covers of these small notebooks. Great for your purse, as party favors, or to sell in your shop. They measure 5 inches high by 3 inches wide when closed. They contain 10 papers which create 20 pages. The papers vary in each book but all the books contain graph paper, construction paper, accounting paper, yellow and white notebook paper, and practice writing paper. Each notebook is machine stitched with white thread.
This WHOLESALE listing is for 10 books, 2 each of the following:
