I got to church this morning, not scheduled to work like I usually am, and they needed a light person. So I started doing lights. Then my "boss" told me I should go up to the computer room and do the computer because the guy up there was doing it for the first time today. And there were some special/harder things to it, so I ran upstairs and took over the computer job and he moved to cameras.

During the sermon, the pastor was talking about how it can't all be mountaintops in our lives and one thing I never really thought about was that nothing grows at the top of moutains. That is true, it is fun and exhilirating for a short time, but then it is time to come down again.

Lately, I feel like I am in the valley alot though.

I didn't take any before pictures, because they were just a pair of men's business trousers, and we all know what they look like! This is what I did:

1) Cut off the legs

2) Cut the scallop at the front

3) Made bias binding out of the fabric from legs

4) Sewed bias binding to the hem and blind hemmed it

5) Hand sewed white lace trim (what I had left over from my chemise top) onto the pockets and the scallop

6) Replaced generic plastic buttons with vintage glass buttons (also left over from chemise top)

(Our Daily Challenge - NOTE)

(112 in 2012 - #47 - FIVE)

It's hard to believe how fast time flies and to realize that I've been volunteering with my dog Hope for 5 years now. She was only 2 years old when we started and I had no idea what I was doing. We have blossomed as a team and a couple of years ago, my other dog Nick started as a volunteer too. I can honestly say that I have gotten back way more than I've given and this "work" keeps me grounded even though we've lost many patients along the way. But, on the other hand, it makes me feel blessed for my family and friends and all the things I have in life. I hope that my dogs have touched the lives of just some of the people we've met along the way....

I did a shoot for a band so they could have photos for their up and coming new web page

At Xmas, Mum gifted me a random swag of old photo gear from her wardrobe. I found this guide in the pocket of one of the bags remembering that I wrote this out to help Mum with her now kaput G5. I actually found it a little hard to follow looking at it today.

I've always said I can't park to save myself but today I got a little note to confirm that!

In my defence I'd like to point out that there was only 1 spot empty and the cars to both the left and the right of it were crossing the lines creating a 'V' for me to park in. In addition to that the car opposite had the best part of his bonnet hanging over so even if the others hadn't made it too narrow there was no chance I was getting a full parking bay to myself!

Also, what an absolutely shocking piece of spelling
