This is my first insect shot of the season. I found this little guy living inside a rotten papaya... So don't look too closely if you're squeamish.
Side note:
This fella was huge, but very shy. He just would not show his face. Also, I'm not sure how he could stand the smell.
I am so allergic to mums but these didn't seem to bother. Lots of allergy headaches lately so maybe I need to let this be their last year? I planted them about 3 years ago, so it may be time anyhow.
gardeners note: this one didn't come back but the one across the walk did and is still with me in 2013 and I rooted new cuttings the spring of 2013
