DESCRIPTION: Smurfette was a clumsy and ugly creation of Gargamel's meant to cause chaos through jealousy, hate and lust in the Smurf Village.
This did not work since Smurfette was so ugly but through the benevolent magics of Papa Smurf, Smurfette became a blonde bombshell.
Smurfette's new looks and pleasant personality eventually led to some success of Gargamel's plan as her beauty did cause the other Smurfs to vie for her affections often resorting to violence.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Manip'd a couple images to make this. Work in Progress.
FUN FACT: This is my wife's favorite character!
These photos are just terrible. They were shot with really low light, no tripod and against a really ugly background. Since everything is white I've had to remove it outlining the trooper figure by hand. The new background is quite better.
Another problem with these photos is that I updated the helmet shortly afterwards. I've been able to digitally add the black part in the middle but there are some other differences as well.
This was taken in the tank sheds, on the front of a tank.
The lighting was terrible so I used my Canon Speedlight 430 EX on a hand-held mount with a mini-umbrella and my Chinese knock-off trigger - held above near the end of the lens to wipe out the background.
If you can work out which tank you'll get tank geek bragging rights forever.
Since this is the ninth character I've made at this size I was able to borrow lots of elements from the others. Legs are the default Tenteñeco standard. The right hand is a copy from those made for one of the Justice League members. The vest also comes from another character. The problem here were the arms, since there are very few pieces in that colour.
Unfortunately, brown is very scarce (I couldn't even make the hair brown), so no Chewbacca for now.
Well, that's how they look!

There are three light sources in this picture. One for general lighting, LEDs for the rear lights, and another one for the "smoke" and top of the car. The LEDs were only on for a moment. I used my iPhone on flashlight mode and moved it around to illuminate the car and the cotton.

“Unfinished Business”
Finally opening up Retro Deadpool and getting to shoot him vs Task Master has been a long time coming.
Two great figures with some excellent accessories and articulation. Yes, waist twist on DP is a bit difficult, as is posing TM’s cape, but got both to work for dynamic poses
The Marvel Universe line’s two-pack is my favorite (excluding Galactus) from a beloved line. Great that these two carry on the classic looks with great assortments of accessories
These guys will definitely be posed next to each other on my comics shelf. What do you think of these figs? Who ya got in a fight?

He's a great CO if you can look past all the hissing and spitting.

VANDERBILT CUP HERE I COME
Since the great Count Blockula was gracious enough to leave a comment about the Sandtrooper I decided to look for a picture of the final version of the helmet. However, it seems I never made it, or at least, I cannot find it. I do have a few pics of a slightly improved version I made in between. The cylinders now are pointing down in the right angle and some other parts are different as well. It's quite close to the last version I made, but not quite it.
We were playing around in the tank sheds taking macro shots as part of the Photo Club this evening. I caught this little chap about to meet his doom in the gears of a tank gearbox...
Major the puppy when he was about six weeks old.
I decided to post this picture today to commemorate my first picture to get
one thousand views on Flickr - of which Major was the unsuspecting feature...
The original image (in portrait) was not manipulated, but I decided
on a small crop ...and then decided to place it in square format on a plain white
canvas using Adobe Elements.

Basically the 1953 C1 given the C7 design language.
Not really happy with it, but I thought this would be a crowd-pleaser so here you go.
And yes, it does have a 1950s dogleg windshield, it's just that the side trim piece opens with the door, so when open, it looks like a normal windshield.

Marvel Universe display is finally looking presentable to me. Legends will join the Marvel Room eventually.

The last thing to do was to paint the "kill stripes", a set of yellow - orange bars on the side of the helmet.
