Head on over to slammedbrochurecars.tumblr.com for... slammed brochure cars. Now with more vintage JDM wheels.
Original by Buick.
Front printing for Iron Man - bright metallics really pop and the subtle blue highlights really make this suit. And thankfully, perfectly aligned. Shoulders are rounded off and the torso is just correctly, only slightly wider than the hips.
Thought I'd post something for the sake of staying on top of things...
miss u flickr '-'
Or rather, for some reason I miss the old days when all I had to do was sift through pictures on this site...
Back printing on Captain America. He may have the dark red hands on here, which I corrected to brown for the other shots. Opacity of the parts is just as good as the real thing, with thinner edges behaving as one would expect, letting through some light from behind.
I recently discovered how to make planets in photoshop, so I decided to make a few more and have some fun with it. :)
Future Wars according to the Book of Doom
Or just posing figures on hand. Finally had some good lighting to work with.
Thinking of making scale dioramas with LEGO in the future.

I recently got myself an Action Base 2 for an HG Juaggu that my brother gave me for Christmas. While I'm home for the break, I figured I'd plop my RG GP01 Fb on it and snap some poses that actually make it look like the source material (i.e. a space mobile suit not on the ground).
Also: why do I like the pictures I take with my shitty old point-and-shoot better than the ones I take with my dad's old Leica Digilux 1?
These doodles are not arranged an a page like this; I dragged and dropped them and rearranged them using Photoshop. The doodles pictured actually span seven one-sided pages (four and a half front-and-back).
These are Animals, Monsters, and Mecha.
There isn't any real reason why I grouped them this way, but I thought "Monsters and Mecha" rolled off the mind's tongue well.
There are also some Pokémon and Fakemon in there.
That setpiece makes everything cool.

We're - ah, I won't lie to you guys. It's only me. Copied from Facebook:
We're "testing the waters" a bit first - we have two pink posters and three purple ones (purple pictured).
We'll be selling them at the Youngtimer Warsaw meet in the Stadion Narodowy parking lot tomorrow (August 6, 2014).
It's also worth coming to check out the cool classic and vintage cars on display.
The price of one poster is 20 zł.
Almost identical spigot design, slightly different torso friction points. These parts fit snugly together and don't exhibit sloppy fit or come loose as some Decool figures can tend to, or the poorer QC of Lele, Bela, DLP, and so on.
I was so pleased with the cover I put together for my new book 'Neptune Rising', I figured I'd redo the cover of 'Red Mercury' to be a better match.
Quite chuffed with how it turned out, and think the two together look pretty cool. I'll be interested to see if it has an effect on sales.
If you haven't given either of them a go yet, surely these lovely covers can tempt you into it? ;¬)
Exactly twenty five years ago, Back to the Future was released in the United States.
While building this I realized that Doc and Marty are too close together so it would be impossible for the fire trails to go just under their legs, but, yeah, it looks way cooler this way.
1x1 Modified Plate with Bar - I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO bring these babies out, because damnit are they flippin' sweet.
Detail of some smaller parts in an attempt to show the tolerances of these cloner parts.
The edges are very sharp, parts snap together beautifully, and the clutch is impressive. The quality of the moulding is evident in the transparent pieces. LEGO's transparent plastics are still superior, with these exhibiting an ever so slight fogging.
But honestly, having built quite a few clones now, I've gotta say, you'd be hard pressed to spot the LEGO parts from the SY parts if the real deal wasn't stamped with a logo.
These are some more prints from my black and white film class last semester, from a project about abstraction. The pictures were all taken on my trip to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon over spring break this year. I created the effects in parts 2-4 using light blocking material and double exposures (not at all digitally), which I can explain further if anyone cares.
Just wanted to post these sometime because I think they're cool!
Really great presentation, with full colour artwork, spot varnished and embossed, onto a matt white sleeve.
Here's the cover for my new steampunk novel, available now in both ebook and print.
Obviously the Flickr ToS don't allow me to link to a commercial website, but if you're interested, you can find the book at a large online book retailer named after a river ;¬)
If you fancy the sound of an old-fashioned adventure story with a dash of steam-driven science-fiction then please give it a try.
Some things should remain undiscovered.

Love the details on this bike. The patina combined with the retro decoration is so visually pleasing.
I think the Legends team may’ve outdone my childhood ToyBiz Venom with this PulseCon exclusive
I’m all about the 90’s Nostalgia they’re putting out there!

I need to take a good picture of this with a proper camera...
To achieve the glowing effect I made a custom sticker, printed on a regular sheet of paper with the numbers painted with fluorescent markers. Add a black light et voila, little tiny led displays!

I was rather impressed by the lustre of their gold plastic. Difficult to photograph, it was 'richer' than LEGO's somehow, less yellow perhaps? More metallic? I need to dig up some real parts to compare.
This is the cover art for my latest novel. Now it's published, I'm going to get back to building some LEGO stuff - I clearly only have room in my head for one creative endeavour at a time!
If you think you might fancy a good old-fashioned adventure story with a dash of steam-driven sci-fi, check it out.
The book is available in both ebook and print at Amazon. I'd link to it, but the Flickr terms won't let me!
If you do give it a go, I'd love to hear what you think.
