Lofoten is an archipelago and a traditional district in the county of Nordland, Norway. Lofoten is known for a distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Though lying within the Arctic Circle, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.

Bergen is a city on the southwest coast of Norway. In the Bryggen district, colorful wooden houses stand on the old jetty, which was once a base for the powerful Hanseatic League.
Bergen ist eine Stadt an der Südwestküste Norwegens. Im Viertel Bryggen stehen bunte Holzhäuser an der alten Landungsbrücke, die einst ein Stützpunkt der mächtigen Hanse war.

The ferry between Harstad and Tromso passes through some beautiful fjords and mountains. The colours against the silhouetted mountains made for my favourite arctic circle sunrise so far - worth getting up early for!
