WORKOUT WEDNESDAY ✨
Exercise IS a magical elixir!
Physical movement has a profound affect on the body and mind. Naturally calming us down, yet energizing us at the same time!
How do you prefer to get exercise? ️
Do you take classes, join a gym, workout at home, dance, or prefer to be outside in nature? 💪
I tend to get bored doing the same things over and over, so I switch it up. But rarely will you find me in a gym 🙋♀
Nature girl at heart, I love be under the open sky ✨
What about you?
Make sure you get in a workout, even if it’s for 10 min!
Consistency is key 🎯
❤️💛💚💙💜

Despite all the new construction, some old colonial gems still persist!

A lifeguard at Varca Beach enjoys the early morning lull, with only an occasional runner for company.

Digger creating sandbanks to try to save the beach from all the ersosion caused by having the River Princess run ashore on the beach for so many years (it's stopping sand flowing back after the monsoon each year so the beach is slowly vanishing).

These are my last few photos from my trip to Goa.
I photographed the River Princess so much I decided to create a River Princess set.
Goa
The crane you see is a ship breaker breaking the last remnants of this ship that had beached on Candolim a couple of months ago. This is my second attempt at Startrails and it seems my Olympus only allows for a maximum of 8 minutes exposure! Bummer!!
Mapusa Friday market pic 1 of 27: A change from Goa's forts, monuments, beaches and heritage- this is my opening shot in the Mapusa Friday market- selling everything from dried fish to poultry, both in the regular market buildings and out here in the open, around the market buildings. This gentleman here is selling poultry. Yeah, take, take a picture of them, he said. He was also selling dried fish. I had only my iPhone 13 Pro Max with me, wonder how he would have reacted if I had my large Nikon dSLR with me. The Mapusa Municipal Market is a traditional market in Mapusa, North Goa and apart from meeting the requirements of the residents, is also a major tourist attraction. I could spot many foreigners in the market as well, hunting for t-shirts, garments, spices and stuff. Built in 1960, the Mapusa Municipal market was first planned market in Goa. The market has three blocks with 164 shops, some of which have been sub-divided, so bringing the total to 173. More notes and pictures of the Mapusa Friday market appear elsewhere in this album. (see subsequent pictures later in this album). (Goa India, Nov/ Dec. 2022)

Another look at Jimmys Palace' - the holiday home of tycoon Jimmy Gazdar. The diamond merchant has cleared away half the cliff face for his mansion. The house's owner Jimmy Gazdar or Jamshed Gazdar is believed to have hosted many grand parties in his mansion. Many high-profile people from various fields like film industry and business folk are said to have attended Jimmy's new year bash. It is said that there are three separate dance floors inside the palace. Jimmy's mansion was designed by Goan architect Gerard de Cunha. That is all the information I could find about this palace- limited yes, but flamboyant though it may be, it is private property after all! (Goa India, Nov/ Dec. 2022)
