YUMA, Ariz. – Area softball players come together at the Team Bridget 5th Annual Co-Rec Tournament to battle for a good cause June 8, 2013. During a break in action, Bridget’s Gift presented a check for $3000 to the Yuma Coalition for Awareness in support of their work here in the area. The three-day event is held at Kennedy Park 7 – 9 June. Softball enthusiasts will be entertained as games are played throughout the night. The Qatari delegation visited three IDP camps in the outskirts of Al Fahser and during the visit; a model sport for development projects in IDP camps was organized along with a number of sport and cultural activities.
The visits saw celebrity players and representatives of organisations engage with the IDP community. A number of friendly matches were played between the IDP teams.

Save the Dream and Qatar Airways joined forces at the 19th Pisa Marathon this week to engage and inspire young people around Italy through the positive values of sport.
The first round of activities in Al Fashir included the organization of Save the Dream Festival held in Al Fashir Stadium and brought together more than 23,000 people amid a wide local, regional and international participation.

Mamtamai Shri Radhe Guru Maa asks her devotees to serve the Lord through service to all beings. We are happy to share that we have successfully held yet another Book Donation Event, in keeping with Gurumaa's instructions.
'Shaktimaan' - Mukesh Khanna graced the event which was held on 10th July, 2013 in Sodawala Lane Municipal School, Borivali (West), Mumbai.
The two programs -- elocution competition, and distribution of toys, books and drawing materials organized by the Trust, saw the participation of children studying in the school. They sang, danced, recited poems, and narrated stories during the event. The kids were happy to receive toys, sketch-pens, and other drawing material at the hands of their idol -- Shaktimaan.
The Trust is grateful to Shri Umesh Jain for the donation of notebooks which made this event possible. We request more devotees to come forward and contribute to our efforts to serve God through service to society. Jai Mata Di ! Jai Shri Radhe Maa!

For the second year in a row, WEDU PBS served as the headquarters and media hub for Give Day Tampa Bay 2016, providing live streaming coverage of the event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3. Nonprofit organizations were invited to run their campaign from the WEDU Studios and many were featured during live streamed segments.

The event takes place 7 – 9 February 2014 and sports bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, barrel racing, bull riding, and mutton busting for the kids. There’s not shortage of family-friendly entertainment and food. The Yuma Jaycees have served in the Yuma community for over 70 years focusing on developing young leaders through community involvement. Our organization focuses on providing opportunities for children to learn the art of clowning and encourages them to use it as a basis for self-empowerment, character building, and to help children to realize the importance of giving back to their community.
The Clowning For Kidz Foundation also provides workshop kits to area schools and day care centers free of charge so that licensed educators have the tools that they need to help children reach their full potential and be happy and healthy.
Additionally, Funds raised will be donated to associations for abused, neglected, and at-risk children, teen scholarships, charitable foundations, and other 501(C)(3) qualified organizations that help children.
Recent donations include The Aleppo Shriners Patient Transportation Fund, Shriners Hospitals for Children Boston, Shriners Hospitals for Children Springfield, Scottish Rite Children’s Learning Center, and the Wish Come True Foundation.

"The CLOWNING FOR KIDZ FOUNDATION was organized and formed as a 501C-3 organization for the sole purpose of helping children by advancing and teaching the art of clowning.
It is our desire through clowning to educate children on self-empowerment in order to build their confidence and show them how to laugh and to see the importance of helping others.
Our training staff, all of whom have been clowning for many years, professionally train all of the clowns in the Clowning for Kidz Foundation in the arts of clowning.
Moreover, all of our clown volunteers have gone thorough Sex Offender Registry Indicator (S.O.R.I.) & a Criminal offender Report Indicator(C.O.R.I.) background checks before they are allowed to perform in the community.
Many of them have received additional training in the art of clowning, and have received awards in recognition for their skills and dedication to the craft.
Hellz Bellz Total Body Fitness in Palm Beach Garden, FL hosted their first Boot Camps with a Purpose to raise money for Big Dog Ranch Rescue (www.bigdogranchrescue.org). Big Dog Ranch Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of unwanted pets. We provide great care for dogs, of all breeds, until they are adopted to the right homes. Big Dog Ranch Rescue is associated with the Weimaraner Rescue Ranch of Florida.

Jerome Williams (born May 10, 1973 in Washington, D.C.) is a former professional basketball player in the NBA, who last played for the New York Knicks. He was a star player on the Magruder High School basketball team. Drafted out of Georgetown University by the Detroit Pistons with the 26th pick of the 1996 NBA Draft, he played four-plus years with the Pistons, becoming one of their key reserves. He was a fan favorite during his days playing for the Toronto Raptors due to his tenacious efforts on the court.

After dropping out of school because of unplanned teenage pregnancies, teen moms Sakhile, Siniketiwe and Nothando accessed form 3 Non-Formal Education and rematriculated into form 4 at Hlutse High school in Swaziland with an education subsidy from a DREAMS–IC grantee.
Keeping girls in school: DREAMS Innovation Challenge grantee World Education, Inc./Bantwana helps girl and young women in Swaziland, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe remain in school, prevent unplanned pregnancies, and pursue alternative flexible secondary education for young mothers.

September 14, 2013—438 meals served
St. Joseph's parishioner and longtime SJSK volunteer (13 years), Carmen, displays today's lunch tray served to guests.
A light and tasty Tuna Pasta casserole, prepared by David Larkin and crew, was served along with a medley of canned veggies donated by Food Bank NYC. Coffee, lemonade and freshly baked Hummingbird Cake was also served. .
Carmen became involved at soup kitchen via St. Joe's parish. She served as one of the volunteer cooks for about 8-9 years, cooking many of the chicken holiday meals. She rallied volunteers into making special spinach lasagna for holiday meals during the years when SJSK did not have convection ovens.
She has transitioned from cooking to handling SJSK's digital presence. Yup, today, she's gotten a chance to experience what she puts other volunteers through every week: the spotlight. Yikes!
Carmen is also a part of the baking team and has been instrumental in coordinating SJSK's foray into volunteer-based fundraising.
What's Carmen's favorite part of volunteering at SJSK? Seeing God's work being carried out by volunteers at St. Joe's, by believers and non-believers alike, who come from all over the world to do this. She's constantly learning about kindness and compassion from volunteer service, especially from SJSK's guests, who praise and beam with delight and gratitude at the yummy food they Eat at Joe's (Carmen's had the honor of hearing it firsthand from guests and volunteers on many occasions).
