On August 3, 2017, I could see yellow wildflowers when I was looking out a window.
With my camera in hand, I went outside for a closer look...

Shot taken with an old Nikon F with a 55mm macro and an Ilford PAN F50 film. Printed by me in the darkroom without any filter. No digital manipulations.

So far, they've only gotten me for the 80-200mm f2.8. Almost got me last year for a 70-200mm VR + 10.5mm Fish-eye. Close, but I escaped!
Edit: They got me for the 135mm f2 DC, summer 2009. D'oh!

2018 began as a very dry time here in New Mexico!
Thankfully, when the monsoon rains arrived, plants began to grow.
I took this photo on the morning of September 2, 2018.
The first wild sunflower in our yard was starting to open.
